In just 30 minutes a night, he blocked nearly 3 shots per game.

Per-36, he put up 21.3pts, 11.9rebs, 3.2asts, 3.2blks and 0.9stls on sky-high efficiency (PER of 24.4!!!)

:o

The man doesn't age.

On one knee too. Just shows that he really is the big fundamental. His game is still the same, he just doesn't have the added youthful athletic ability obviously due to age and injuries but he's still going to give you 15+ PPG and 10 REB a game with a block or two and a couple of assists.

He averaged 18 and 10 in the postseason too playing 35 minutes per game.

exactly.

I would say one win on this trip would make for a modestly successful one.
Such a shame to lose that game in OKC.

BTW - for those who think Wall isn't clutch, remember he hit a 3 pt
at the first half buzzer in OKC. That's a pressure shot too. But Jose
has often had our number so he definitely needs to be game planned for.

SAN is beating the snot out of everyone so things aren't looking very good
tomorrow.

I can dig it. 8-) We win tonight take our *** whipping in SA than spank the Cavs and the Wolves (let Love go off shut everyone else down) at home.

BTW Wiz gave OKC that game Sunday. :(

I still would have given a foul on KD if necessary, someone else if they could have,
on the last possession (up 3) in regulation. Just like SAN should have fouled in game 6 up 3
with < 20 sec to play. I'd rather give them 2 FTs having to make both to pull within one but
then have possession with the shot clock off then allow them to tie on one shot, esp with
KD being the shooter.

He's getting to the rim well. I'd actually like to stick Wall on him. Wall has better lateral quickness then Beal so I think he ought to be effective there.

1. put a hand in Matrix's face. I trust he won't shoot as well when properly guarded.

2. a PHL fan stated to me a few years ago at a game that Dalembert was possibly
the lowest IQ player in the league. After the game last year where he fouled
out in like 5 minutes, I might be inclined to agree.

3. Ellis has been an inefficient chucker much of his career. Need to keep him that way

so I guess Im the only one who thinks we could give SA fits? Anyways, this game and probably the next will come down alot to what Wall does. Just an average to bad game and we probably lose, an average to solid game an we probably win, if he goes for the Gold then we will definitely win and SA will also be in trouble. We are a good team when all hands are on deck. Wiz fans have to get use to that. We wont be counted out against anyone. However, if Wall goes full Wall then we can and will beat alot of good teams.

As for tonight, past Wiz teams would still be crying over OKC, put there heads down, and get wiped out against Dallas & SA. For some reason I think this team is different and will come out angry and with a purpose. We will go for the win and after the game everyone will be talking about how we shouldve just won 4 straight against a hot Philly team, the Nets, Thunder, and Mavs. I will then be on the general board arguing that we are undefeated with our full lineup because Gortat didnt start game 1, Nene missed the next 2, and we were up 10 with 3min left when Nene got kicked out.........lol

I expect this is the game some of our deeper bench options get some burn. Look for Vesely to get PT for some long armed, athletic defense vs Dirk, even if its only for an eight minute stretch. Also, Beal leads the league in minutes per game, Witt will try to get that down and insert one or both of Temple and Rice at some point just for preservation's sake. Need to leave some gas in the tank vs. the Spurs tomorrow.

I think it's the other way around. It is utterly impossible for us to beat the Spurs tomorrow, so we may as well go all out and try to win tonight and then rest our good players tomorrow.

Yes. SA will beat us quite easily with Duncan taking the night off.

We have to get this W, good teams bounce back immediately from tough losses like last game.

And I agree. With the right players around him, Dirk can still get there.

As for this game. Its kind of a big deal. Early jockeying is important. And when shooting for the playoff, every game is important. Even Miami being 3 ½ down only 7 games into the season is something to take notice of. If Indy is really that good, 3 ½ games is a lot to make up. Now its still a long season for sure but you don't want to be in a position to have to make up to much ground.

For one, its hard.
For two, the psychology of it.
For three, it makes a coach like Randy who has only won with a tight bench, stay they way. That wears out players and it doesn't develop depth. That leads to the EFJ effect. Good record at the AS break, but the team is warn out and injured.

Thing is, Timmy has a guy who has been in the MVP running at the PG spot. SA is arguably the best team in the NBA.

Dirk has Marion who is still an excellent defender on the wing but a revolving door everywhere else. I think the group they have right now is it and I think they're just a Round 1 team.

I would have liked it if we could had picked up Marion. Very under advertized player. Dirk gets the clippings.

While the season is still young and the record isn't great, this is the first time in years I can say I've enjoyed watching the Wizards play. I really like this group of guys we got, and I haven't been able to say that since the Gil days.
