Not official yet so we'll see, EG might just send our '15 1st too outbidding himself

Thankfully that is not allowed. 1st can't be traded in consecutive years - Stepien rule.

5 mil this year and 4.625 mil next season

Only 2 mil of that 4.625 is guaranteed.

If Cavs are basically giving away Tyler Zeller, the Wiz should be all over him. He's actually played well this season when given a chance.

Amazing that Ernie's going to deal the former 6th pick in the draft and his most recent FA signing for 37 year old broken down Prof. Miller. AMAZING.

If we could get Miller and Deng while shipping out Ernies kids + Web that'd probably be enough to win a playoff series against anyone not named Miami or Indiana.

EDIT: Ugh, that's not a very good contract and he's 33.

Why is it that we have to rely on Grunfeld to clean up messes that were created by Grunfeld.

-- The #6 overall pick in the 2011 draft averages 3 points more than my dead grandmother and shoots FTs *below* 27%.
-- Eric Maynor ('Nuff said)
-- The "knuckleheads"

etc, etc, etc.

Man. I know Vesely stinks. I know he doesn't seem to have the work ethic to bulk up properly *or* work on his game. I know he seems to be scared of NBA players. But man, it sucks that it's come to trading him for a 37-year old backup PG.

I'd be very happy if we could acquire Miller for that pile of trash.

Deng? Eh, not so much. Doesn't he have a pretty substantial contact? And wouldn't it coincide with our attempts to go after a big free agent in 2016?

$5 million this year.

$4.6 mil next season, but $2 mil is only guaranteed if he's cut before June 30, 2014 or two days before the draft. I would venture to say he'll be brought back.

So potentially it's a salary neutral deal. That's good, except we'll likely bring Miller back next year.

To me the elephant in the room, that no one is talking about is that Miller & Wall really can't play together. Miller's shot is even more broke than Wall's. Teams would just pack the paint and dare us to shoot jumpers.

Miller also doesn't play defense. Well, he can't play defense. It's about as bad as Maynor's was. So IMO it's not really a problem solving trade. It just changes the problems. From having a backup PG that couldn't run the offense but could defend to a backup PG that can run the offense but can't defend a lick.

If Jimmer can be had for a 2nd round pick, I'd look into that.

PG - Wall/Miller/Temple
SG - Beal/Jimmer/Rice
SF - Ariza/Webster/Porter
PF - Nene/Booker/Harrington
C - Gortat/Seraphin

I'd still look into trading Ariza tho

It's ingenious, really. He creates these huge messes then does a semi decent job of cleaning them up then takes full credit without anyone calling him out on creating the mess in the first place.

It would be like me taking someone's car, wrecking it, then doing a cheap-ass repair job, giving it back to them and the person praising my half-assed effort.

He's an expiring so it's really pointless to trade for him. If they really want him that bad they can just wait until this summer instead of trading assets for him.
