If the NBA is like the NFL, Las Vegas values home court/field advantage at 3 points. Every thing else being equal (i.e. disregard that our bench is better now), on a neutral court, we were 2 pt. favorite in January and 3 pt. favorite now.

Conclusion: According to Las Vegas, the absence of Maynor is more of a positive for us than the absence of Nene is a negative. (Veseley is a non-factor.)

Maynor

Plus Andre Miler, Drew Gooden, and Al Harrington.

Not sure how Harrington fits on the plus side, although he may be an upgrade from Maynor.

Harrington's shot has been worse than Vesely's ever was. His 3PA's look embarassing.

I'd be interested in a 2nd unit of Miller, Webster, Porter, Gooden, Seraphin

Al can play in spot minutes but he seems to break down as the game wears on him. He's better in situational bursts I think.

We're pretty much better them across the board except Big Al. It should be win, but the bobcats can beat good teams on the road (I remember they won AT Toronto earlier in the year).

What will be most interesting is to see how hungry the guys are. Sad loss in MIA, hopefully they play with the same effectiveness, but this time the full 48 minutes.

both players you mentioned are threats to go off

I feel confident that we can shut those two down. I was just saying that there is nobody else on the team that is a real x factor or concern

good. another big body vs Al. I have a question to the Wiz fans though. Havent been reading the Gooden thread but to me Book has just been ok while KS has played great for awhile and Nene will be back. Would you guys ever consider starting Gooden at the 4? IDK if he can keep it up but right now he may be our best answer for a starting 4. Weve always wanted someone who can do the dirty work and stretch the floor. I dont think any of us envision Gooden showing the range that he has but the fact is he's done it. If he can show that range while also being a gritty guy with size, then how can you go wrong with him starting? Again, Book is solid but I honestly like him the least out of our bigs. He may be up on Al right now but even that I think is mostly due to rust

Cant have Ariza going 2-13 or whatever. Beyond that, Wiz by 10.

weird game for Wall so far. Playing great, being aggressive, setting the tone and looking for his shot 1st like I want but for some reason he looks tired. He has that 42min look on him 4min into the game. Hope he can keep it up. Some of it I think is just adreneline from playing the hometown team. Probably has more people at the game. Hopefully he can keep it up and get a 2nd wind

Why is Ariza dribbling the ball? Dude has one of the worst handles and off dribble jumpers I've ever seen from a wing player.

i thought we started the game with a good amount of pep like a road game but then it went away real quick and we are looking flat again. Al is killing Gortat. No Nene so gotta hope Drew & KS can step up

The bad side of Gortat is showing. Al is getting whatever he wants.

Good seeing Wall come out aggressive tonight, and Miller is just a tremendous player, still.
