I look at it like this. A moderate playoff success this season (incl sweepin' TOR) and a long term vision as a real contender are two different thangs. ATL will eat us alive and the difference between the two teams will be made so evident that even patient Ted would want to clip an outdated coach who has no regard of advanced metrics and is incapable of maximizing the talent available. I don't know, If we beat Toronto, Atlanta is looking very mortal so far. The Wall and Beal that showed up for game two can absolutely beat Atlanta.
I also don't think Randy was going to be fired even if we lose to Toronto. Our ownership is way more conservative than Golden State's. IMO, the only thing that gets Randy fired is if the team quits on him. They won't do that, everyone but Gortat seems to love Randy.
