Hey PIF, remember that discussion we had a while back on education. You posted (rightly IMO) that education should be about... well, education. I pointed out that wasn't the mission of the current DOE and we left it at that.
But some people seemed to have received the message, specifically Chancellor Whiliam H. McRaven.

I like this idea. I think we need a biblical reference for a symbol of the new party. Thinking back, it's probably a good idea to go with the sign of God's covenant to man after the great flood. The Heterosexual Party would look particularly wondrous emblazoned on a rainbow background, don't you think?

No. We are secular, reasoned, humanist, heterosexuals. Our symbol will be Rutherford splitting the atom. The pun on "Adam", the first hetero, is obvious.

Hard to believe that Trump's behavior as president is actually worse than his behavior during the campaign. I didn't think that was possible.
The only good news I can see is that his incompetence will limit the damage he can do. In the end I bet he will regret running for president, if he doesn't already.

I don't think he regrets running, only winning.

Agreed, I think he loved running. I would imagine his huge rallies were a highlight of his life. "Take away healthcare", doesn't excite crowds like "lock her up".

Re: Political Roundtable Part XV
As much as I dislike Trump I'm hoping he lasts his 4 year term. He is destroying the Republican brand and frankly that is a good thing and also it is funny with all the condemnation his positive numbers have risen even though marginally and his negative numbers slightly down. But getting Spence who equally despicable to Trump and I think of him as "Mr. Bobblehead" in every speach Trump makes he always showing his support by constantly nodding. If you look at his major roles in trying to disenfranchise people as the head of the election comity. Plus not one person was appalled by Trumps rant. His homophobic term as governor of Indiana is that he would be worse than Trump.

The problem is that no one trusts the Ds in congress either... this is the "we are less evil than they are" argument.
The DNC needs to figure this out - otherwise we will continue to get alternating parties in the white house. Either that or we need a third party to keep the Ds and the Rs focused.
The independent number is also interesting in that 44% of the country now identifies itself as independent.

Maybe what you are saying is true but that isn't what the poll is saying. The poll is stating how Democrats, Republicans, and Independents approve of the job that Congress is doing a a whole. I would assume that the Democratic approval rating of congress is low because it is a Republican congress and the Republicans approval rating of congress has gone down after it has failed to pass significant legislation.

Yes, but didn't Rutherford work for the Commonwealth in non-hetero locations like New Zealand and Canada? Yeah, I'm starting to doubt your heteromometer on this one.
