Don't tell anyone but I think Westbrook's the best player on the team, as flawed as his game can be.

OKC might need to be demoted to the G-League after today.

Russ has been incredible this half. Basically a one-man show. In the second of a BTB as a 32-year old. He's not human.

This is the NBA. Where no lead is safe, but you also believe that this team is confident right now that they could come back from just about any lead (not OKC/Indiana lead).

Ok, I was wrong. I thought Russ was close to getting a T, but it was Beal.

This team really hates losing. They could easily be down 20 at the half.

I've watched this franchise since the late 70s and I'm not sure I've seen a better player than Westbrook. Sure, Jordan, but he was at the end. Bernard King was a pure scorer and so was Gilbert. I saw #41 at the end of his career, when he couldn't move and you couldn't move him. Big E was clutch and IMO underrated. Wall and Beal had fantastic moments. But I don't think we've had anybody quite like this. The sheer force that he plays with and while he's not perfect, he does make players better. Daniel Gafford and Alex Len would just be guys without him.

I think it took awhile for all the players to figure him out. But while I don't want to bring Wall into this, I don't think he or anybody played this hard. He forces the rest of the team to play or try and play at that intense level. Or he's going to cuss you out. :)

The refs have been so bad this season. Beal getting a technical for no reason.

Westbrook, since fully recovering from the quad injury, is better than any iteration of John Wall.

Since Westbrook's last missed game due to injury, the team is 23-18. They're 22-11 in games that Beal has also played.

Down 5 at the half, but the box score would seem to point to a likely comeback. Dallas hit 12-21 3PT shots. That's not sustainable. Washington out rebounded them. Beal and Westbrook already have 40 combined.

Will be an interesting second half.

I'm streaming this game because the caps are and am listening to the Mavs announcers. They are entertaining to listen to and makes me realize how boring Justin Kutcher is.

My Captain Obvious statement of the night is that I like starting Gafford in the second half.

Yeah nice adjustment. They were scoring way too easily to start the game.

I gotta give Brooks more credit for being much more flexible with his lineups these past two months. When guys don't play well, he plays the guys that do.
