completely shocked that they picked him, even more-so that they targeted him and moved up specifically to get him. This FO is different.

Taking big swings!! That’s what we need. Solid players aren’t leading us out of the wilderness we need to go for upside. Feels like that’s what we did here.

Via reddit, Winger did this exact same trade on 2018 draft night. Traded Miles Bridges and 2 second rounders to move one spot up for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Foreigner forward with good to great physical tools but lacking in the offensive skillset department. Sounds like a Tommy pick if I ever saw one

His advanced number show his offensive game isn't that bad. He's a decent catch and shoot guy and is so young. He's NBA ready on D right now.

Before the rebuilding process I didn't want Coulibaly, but now that we are tanking for the long haul I like the pick. This is just the first brick in a long long rpocess. Let's see where he is in 4 years.

I’m hoping brick isn’t the operative word here

I don't think that's a good comparison.

I think he compares more too like a young Jimmy Butler. Raw offensively but has the tools for sure.

How would you characterize Giannis after the draft? This is a high reward - high risk pick. Not a Tommy pick at all.

Tommy would have taken Walker.

IMO, Tommy would have taken Dick or Whitmore

From the reports, I'd say a young Deni Avdija. We will see.
