This is just incomprehensible.

Hope the 2029 pick is worth it.
* A solid player
* Excellent contract
* Somebody who actually could bring fans in

That third point ain't for nothing, either.

This could be infinitesimally more palatable if they waited until the 14th pick was up to pull the strings. Are they looking for a particular player at 14? Because they have no clue whatsoever if that player will be there at 14.

Deni Avdija is going to be better than Mikal Bridges … and Bridges just got five picks back. Five.

Insane.

Absolutely frickin’ insane.

Terrible terrible terrible move.

And no reason now for me to turn on any game next year — maybe to check in every now and again and see how the draft picks are doing.

Yikes. This is bad deal. I'm assuming Deni must have asked out but even so there was no reason to rush & trade for such mid-assets when Deni was signed to an incredibly cheap deal long term.

The KP deal to acquire Tyus when you already took on Poole's deal on the cheap already had me questioning the front office asset management last offseason but this tells me they just have no clue what they are doing so far.

Strike one in my book.

I've lost words.

Deni just in recent interview in Israel talked about how optimistic he is about staying in DC and building here something similar to OKC.

There is no way he asked out. Zero chance.

I've lost any respect to this FO if this is the return they thought is enough to give up on him.

So, yeah this one is going to leave a mark. If it means I have to watch Kuzma all year (assuming I watch many games any way) instead of Deni is painful to consider. You're telling me OKC or another team couldn't do better than this? At least get the seventh pick and they can keep the seconds.

What can they spin Brogdon for or will they keep him until after December of perhaps the trade deadline
