Yeah, I thought that “registered Republican” bit was a little too soon considering the source was an anti-Trump site. Gun violence in general should be the central issue, hopefully Democrats use that properly. At this point, I don’t assume the incident changes many votes or the outcome of the election, though it may galvanize pre-existing MAGA support for him, and it may lead to more political violence down the road.
After the last election, I determined that the person I always think is going to win, always loses. I don’t know how to predict elections, and I don’t know whether that realization affects who I predict will win. I have no idea who the next president will be, Trump, Biden, Harris, someone else. Regardless, things ain’t looking so great.
