I doubt it, they wont be in the 2026 lottery next year unless they trade up.

They will win more games next year and improvements I see with the players.

What you expect? They play 3 rookies heavy minutes and no team in the league would win a lot of games having that formula yet alone making the playoffs.

You’re playing yourself. The 2026 pick will not convey. The Wiz will be terrible and they will play these young guys plus whoever the 2025 pick is.

I think 2026 is when they bring in veterans who can shoot like Detroit did.

Not really.

The 2026 Wizards pick won't be the same range as this years. They wont be in the 2026 lottery.

If the wizards are in the bottom eight in 2026 they are cooked. That means less than expected progression from this and last year's picks and zero contribution from the 2025 pick.

I think the zards could get out of the bottom 8 simply by trading Poole and Kuz for a pass first vet pg who can make everybody comfortable. Maybe a muscular rebounding PF to complement Sarr. Although Champinnie seems to be filling that role just fine.

If the Wiz give our 2026 pick to NY thats a major fail and I would assume Leonsis was the driver. Did SGA cause the Thunder to be too good to pick Chet Holmgren?
Making extreme statements like "only" sounds like there are "no" Jokics in this draft? Jokic is an engine that was drafted in the 2nd round. Always a chance to see diamond dropped by sloppy burgular after a theft.

Exactly. We WANT to be bad for this season and next year simply to avoid surrounding that pick.

I would give my left nipple to be where OKC is now

And why is it always the left one? Is that some sort of discrimination of the left or preference for the right?

Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't. If it gives Zonk and me a rapprochement, then it's all good.

Coriolis spin effect in the northern hemisphere. South of the equator the left is more effective.

Except in Britain since they drive on the wrong side.

Wait... this isn't the political thread!

That said, pretty much everyone here is nuts.

They wont have to worry about that if the Wizards trade the 2026 draft pick. Don't have to draft for 3 years straight. Other ways to approach this :wizard:
