Middleton, Brogdon and a rehabbed Bey might actually fxxk around and win us a few games late in the year. Not enough to endanger our tank, but might be enough to give the youngsters a taste for it.

I can’t imagine we keep Middleton. He’s been a good player this year and I would assume that he would go to a 3rd team for bad salary.

Even if we can't flip him .... If the what would take it id still do Brogdon, Holmes , Bagley, Baldwin and Noza for buttler and just convince him that playing hard here for 3 months and looking good is the best way to get you where you wanna go in the summer. He's only gone year left do it and see if you can get anything for him later. Consolidate these one year deals into one big pot and see what happens in the summer.

He's incredibly raw and particularly for the Bucks timeline, is not ready for NBA minutes. That obviously works more for you guys than it did us. He's got some movement skills to him that are pretty rare to find though; if you squint hard enough he looks like Tyrese Maxey at times. But again, very, very raw right now. He's had some big games in the G-League but overall has only been okay at that level of competition so far. Bucks fans are extremely upset with this trade and particularly because of the inclusion of AJ. He's the first young guy we've had in a long time that looks like a great athlete.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I'm reading the bucks board right now. Obviously a money move for you guys with the second apron, but also Kuzma isn't quite as bad as his numbers this year show. Dude has just been half jogging down court and throwing up wild airballs all season. I don't think he'll do that on a good team.

Just an FYI Kuzma can play pretty good defense when he wants to. His big problem is shot selection which shouldnt be as much of a problem with lower usage.

Yeah, I seem to be a LOT more open to this trade than my fellow Bucks fans are. It's a sizeable leap of faith that we can get the best out of Kuzma, but I can at least acknowledge the vision of the move. Definitely hurts though.

I'm curious to see if Middleton stays with the Wizards the rest of the year or not; if he does, it might be my first Wizards jersey. I live in DC and Middleton has been my guy for a long time so it would be pretty cool.

Agree. Kuz’s decision making and outsized role has been a problem with the Zards but he’ll likely be an asset in Milwaukee as a third or fourth option…assuming he accepts that role.

Liz is also a good rebounder and passer when he wants to be.

Wizards still have $48 million in expiring contracts, and JoVal as a trade chip.

Assuming things hold, we would have about $28 million in cap room next season. But if we start shipping off expirings in exchange for a contract that has a year+ (like Middleton) on it, that will go down obviously.

He's now a former Wizard. Like Bobby Portis, Kyle Kuzma is going to kill it in Milwaukee.

Can’t do it now… we’re only ~3M under the luxury tax after the Kuz trade.
So unless we send filler contract, it doesn’t work. And not sure the Suns pay much without the additional financial relief.

Does being so close to the tax limit the possibility for the Wiz to convert their two-way contract players?

Well that's not an issue now that we made the JV trade he made 9.8 mill and S.C makes 1.1 lol so we freed up about 8 mill. To do what ever we want with the 2 way guys.

Even makes you think there might be another trade. Just one more....
