To gather multiple second-round picks and use them for a late first and get a contract that we might be able to deal again next season or the off-season.

Also not against getting guys to groom our younger players. We really didn't have that in Kuzma and Poole is young himself.

Just need to get lucky in the draft. After watching Harper again last night, I think he can be special. Bailey may take longer and we know that Flagg has incredible upside. After that, it's a coin flip even though there are some good players available. But I think we're heading in the right direction.

Agreed about Harper. At this point, it’s a two sure thing draft (Flagg and Harper) with a handful of maybes (Ace, Edgecombe, etc), a handful of guys I wouldn’t touch like the Jarunicious (so?) from Illinois and a bunch of sleepers (like the other dude from Illinois)

If Smart is healthy I hope he plays. Dude is tough and smart and the yougins’ could learn from playing with him.

Smart was defensive player of the year…which is a rare distinction for a guard.

So if you do the math..... Zinger did technically net us a first.

Think about it. Smart went to me in that trade and we ended up trading guys we had on the team for smart for that pick so we there for basically traded them for smart and a first . Circular math not linear lol

Even more neatly. Zinger got us Tyus and Muscala and Gallinari. Shifted Smart to the Grizz. Later Moose and Gallo were traded for Bagley and 2nds. Bagley and 2nds were moved for Smart and the 2025 first.

One of the 2nds we got with Marvin was used in the sign and trade for Jonas. The other was packaged to land George. Jonas was traded for 2 more 2nds.

So Zinger got us Kyshawn. A 2025 first. Two 2nd rounders. Smart. Len. Colby Jones.

And I may have lost track of a 2nd rounder that was part of the Butler to Philly deal. If so then Zinger also got us a 2026 first.

Or shut him down and rest him so he'll have value in the offseason as a vet on an expiring contract who has playoff experience and can still contribute.

Utah will get Flagg, it would be too-perfect, we’re getting 3-5.

I have a good sense who we take 1-4 but at 5 I’m beginning to sour on Jakucionis and think we just take giant Maluach

Yep. I’d pick Edgecombe at 4. At 5, not sure

Kasparas has been struggling since he hurt his left forearm. He missed two games because of it and now he is wearing a strange wrap/pad on it. Not sure what happened.

Sorry for any miscredit, doc (or hoopalotta). I kinda bundle BOYD with YODA and PPA.
