Of course AJJ might just want to do well. That said, the
fact that he has missed time may move him down the
pecking order some.

In terms of distribution of playing time, games that are
not close sh/could be opportunities for our end of the
bench guys.
Guards - CJ, Bub, Tre all figure to get opportunities.
Then you got Whitmore (is he a 2 or 3?), AJJ, Watkins

Even Riley, KG and Bilal could get some run at SG over
the course of the season. Positional size being something
being mentioned.

Kyle Kuzma ate in excess last offseason.

It did not bode well for his 2024-2025 season. He was so miserable that he was unplayable in the playoffs.

I wonder if Kuzma is in shape?

Dillon Jones will not be playing tonight. I mentioned his name one last time.

Deni Advidja will not be playing for the Wizards. second-year Bub Carrington can be measured against second-year Deni Advija.

Who's Deni, and why's he in the game thread?

Plausible.

Kuzma or Portis, both former Wizards, could have career rebound highs.

The front court matchups are especially brutal, we will need hot 3 point shooting to be able hang

Any suggestions of a bar in or near Bethesda that's likely/certain to have the game on tonight?

The games should be so much more watchable this year with Poole and Kuzma gone. It was painful at times last season.

First time since 2015 I bought league pass. Only got the monthly so out 16.99. Don’t make me regret on day 1. Show a pulse.

Our defensive approach is stuck in the past. Last night you saw where the league is heading… ball pressure starting in the back court. You gotta make them get out of their sets.

I was afraid of this. There's too much talent at the top of the 2026 draft to allow any of it to land with the Wizards. Despite playing the kids the past two seasons they went out and got two capable vets and we'll have to endure watching them play heavy minutes. They'll win just enough games to prevent them from getting a top 3 pick and kids won't get the minutes they need. It's going to be a long and pointless season if this happens.

Nice to see Bub at least trying to score inside.

7-10 3 pointers, hot shooting, or bad defense?

So if memory serves, most of the board last year was in favor of another lost season this year. Rhetoric was spewed at year end last year about the great things the front office was doing and that they were building and moving in the right direction. From what I see tonight there’s been very little progress. They still don’t defend and miss far too many 3 pointers for today’s game. My bet is that doesn’t get much better. Your boy Dawkins, his boss, and the rest will of the front office crew must go. Signed a very frustrated Wizards fan who’s been waiting (and watching) for over 40 years on another championship.
