Right. Immediate thought was Sarr, but all these dudes will benefit, Vukcevic has a lot to learn as well as Reese and Okpara. Heck Dybantsa is 6-10 teach him some post up skills. Even Ayton can learn a few things.

And actually Patrick has more knowledge than the big man game. He learned from Coach Thompson, he knows a lot of general intricacies of the game that be can pass on to all of our young players.

Clifford is a pretty good defensive coach. Here to hoping he helps install some discipline in that area.

I know Clifford had health problems a few years ago. If he is able o do the job, I’d see him as insurance for if Keefe doesn’t work out. He got a lot out of mediocre talent when he was a HC

The better coaches are the guys with pretty normal size and athleticism who manage to succeed at the NBA level because they really understand the game - guys like Ty Lue and JJ Redick. Chris Paul would probably be a good coach. Maybe Rajon Rondo.

The best evidence for Ewing as an effective coach is that he keeps getting jobs. The best evidence against him is that despite years of work no one has felt he was the best candidate for a head coaching job in the NBA.
If the job was truly offered only due to Ted’s Georgetown connections then the basketball people will minimize his role and we’ll be fine.
