impressive wins. Almost no homecourt advantage with the size of that crowd

Bet an obnoxious amount of money on this game (most I've ever spent on any bet).
Why?
Nelson was out.
The losers in vegas all bet on magic.
Knew Gortat could somewhat handle v.
Knew Wall could kill Dipo as a point.
If we won, we would reach .500.
But mostly, because PIF said that Durant would probably rather go to the Magic.
And they covered, and killed, the spread. Celebrating at Picasso in Bellagio watching the fountains.
Woooo flippin' hoooo.

That 40% was prior to tonight, where he shot 4-4 from three.
you have to count tonight lol...just like you count those games where he was rusty coming back from injury
No, he was saying that his 3pt% is even higher now

Wall alluded to there being an off day tomorrow. Regardless, they have 3 days off. Nene should just sit out practice and rest.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

I didn't know LaMarcus was David Aldridge's cousin. Meanwhile, Lillard and Wes Matthews are quietly having an amazing season.

Love to see Nene playing with a chip on his shoulder. I think the chip got there when Maxiell tricked the officials into calling a foul on Nene. You mess with the bull, ya get the horns, Orlando.
Speaking of Big Baby, he lived up to his nickname. When they play Nicholson, they outscore the opposition significantly. When they play Big Baby, the opposition outscores them significantly. Yet, they play Big Baby more minutes than Nicholson. Does that make any sense?
That dunk by Ola - gotta give credit where credit's due - an amazing individual play.

Re: BACKUP Game Thread - Wizards vs Magic (12/2/13)
Hey hey...!
A nice win, a nice milestone, and... a pretty easy schedule the rest of the month. We should end the month at or above .500. And that is great. We have achieved average, and we should be able to sustain it. We should or at least we may even be a little better than average.
And we've gotten there in the 4th year of a rebuild on the basis of a #1 pick, two #3 picks, a #6 pick, 3-4 other mid-round one picks, and the acquisition of a $13m-a-year player, a $14m-a-year player, and a rental player whom we'll likely re-sign for $11m+ and for whose services this year we will have given up a mid-round 1 pick.
Still, for today if for no other day, it's worth it! It feels like having left the past behind. Now, if we can complete that business of abandoning the past today by announcing that in celebration of his great achievement of hitting .500, Ernie G. has been fired!! what a day it would be, huh?
Oh, ok... that was
I apologize.

Was real happy with all factors of the game tonight. The starters were great... especially Ariza and Wall. Was also encouraged by Booker off the bench. He looked pretty good when in there. And as said even Ves and SIngleton contributed some. Once we are at full health we'll be a nice 8 or 9 deep... lookin forward to it !

No. The bench still stinks.
When Beal gets back, we will be 6 deep. Vesely and Booker are slightly better than useless on good days. Everyone else sucks and would not play on a .500 team. And I'm not betting that Porter will be useful either, not for a good 20 games or so, anyhow.

Exactly, that is why the Maynor/Harrington signings hurt so much. Just one more solid NBA player... sigh

First time at the Boof this year and man... it HAS to be hard to get hyped as a player when it's that dead. It's to the point where it makes you feel like an idiot for being a real fan and getting into the game while everyone around you acts like they're attending a funeral.
Woo though! .500! The Magic are TERRIBLE. Their 4th quarter drought made helped out our unbelievably terrible bench. We're so hard to watch when Wall/Nene come out Maynor and company come in. Was awesome to see a comfortable win though. Can't remember the last time I've seen one in person.

I don't see Porter providing any meaningful minutes honestly. Ariza can play 32 MPG at SF and occasionally PF. Martell can play 16 MPG at SF and 14 MPG at SG. Beal can play 34 MPG at SG. There simply won't be any PT for Porter. If we resign Ariza, it simply baffles me why we drafted Porter.

I really don't think Beal should play starters minutes... he should play the backup minutes at shooting guard - something like 20 per game until he gets welllllll past the injury. It would be terrific if Porter could step-up. I don't hold out too much hope for Seraphin or Vesely to have a meaning step-up in their production - but it could happen.

After losing to the cavs to drop to 2-7 I was so disappointed that I wanted to hit the nuke button on this squad and FO but ever since Wall was called out by Nene the team is 7-2 and headed in the right direction...im gonna go out on a limb and say this is finally the year we win 50...51-31 3rd seed 1st round win vs Chi before bowing out to the Heat in 5....and for the record I think we ought to keep Ariza for the rest of the season

Eh. That's that asking a co-worker what their paycheck is. To me, it was obnoxious. To Jordan, it was a blackjack bet. Put it this way, anytime you bet a car's worth of money on the Wizards, it's obnoxious.

Perfect example of "what have you done for me lately" thinking. Might want to curb your expectation before you force yourself to pull out the nuke button again.
