Gotta also give Gortat some love. Yes he can be a softy at times but he's had four double-doubles in the four games since the All-Star break and has averaged 15 points 11.5 rebounds 2.3 assists and has shoot 26/43 from the field in about 30 minutes per game. Very solid numbers for a 4th option at best.

yeah, he looks like the guy who started the season. For awhile it seemed like he wasnt as involved in the Offense anymore but since the break we have been feeding the bigs alot

Yeah, not good the way his knee bent there but that looks like the culprit.

Agreed. I'm not Gortat's biggest fan, but gotta give credit where it's due.

I haven't really been down with the Gortat hate. He is what he is. A solid, unspectacular and largely deferential player.

How good would Hawes look as a bench big for us?

Looks like just a knee sprain. No biggie.
If he tore something he would be in a lot more noticable pain. Especially a big whining baby like Nene.

That guy is almost as annoying as Wizadry.

I'm assuming JonathanJoseph hanged himself after Wall was voted in as an All Star...could explain his absence.

There go Wizadry right there!

Yeah, that's it.

Kind of hard to read. It looks like it bent pretty good. It just happened really fast. He hardly reacts at all to it until he turns to head down court, then he instantly knows something isn't right.

Its not a knees knocking think. Its Jacksass that hits his knee.

From what I saw there, that doesn't look good to me. That could easily be an MCL tear.

Time to start Wall, Beal, Webster, TA and Gortat and dust of the Ottoman

Isn't a sprain a tear ? Just a mild one.

ACLs are odd. When I did mine, holy schnitzels, it hurt like hockey pucks right away, then a couple minutes later, felt ok.

As a coach, I've seen many instances where players just feel a little tweak and barely any pain. At first they don't even realize they are injured, just that something is wrong.

We'll see. But I don't like the look of it... And don't see us winning a ton of games with Mr. Hilario.

I have it DVR'd. Let me go look.

Hmm. Hard call. It doesn't look real bad. He doesn't get hit on the knee cap. It a swiping blow and his knee wasn't locked when it got hit. What harder to tell is what happens to him under the basket on the next play. That's when he goes down.

But its clearly an MCL. You see him on the floor rubbing the inside of his knee.

He is out at 3 weeks if its a first degree sprain.

No, I had it right.

A strain is caused by over use. Its can be muscle or tendons.
A sprain is a tear caused by impact and its always a ligament.

Looking at it again, I think Nene will be out 2-3.

Return to Washington Wizards
