The media killed Marcin Gortat.
I don't have time to explain this well but I remember when Dirk Nowitzki was considered not tough enough because he would not bang in the post.
I never thought Pao Gasol got his props for how good of a player he was in his prime.
In general the white player and the European player gets hazed. Same thing happened with Jeremy Lin. Just my opinion that the only white guys that you see making it are the TJ McConnell types that are as black as they can be. Birdman Andersen had to cut his hair short and be more like a brother.
It's July 5th. Summer and nothing to do but argue. Plus I think that VOG is messing with my sinuses and I'm like three times as grumpy as normal which is kind of grumpy I'm out

I'm not sure if it is all attributed to racism; I think it is because people like counting stats and people still use field goal percentage rather than effective field goal percentage or true shooting percentage; or even worse, they ignore field goal percentage altogether. With Gortat, he's become an easy target rather than putting blame on John Wall's defense or a lot of his mid range shots which he often takes early in the shot clock. Granted Gortat is getting older and tends to check out at times but overall I don't think Wizards fans understand a lot of the good he brought even if he was declining. With Pau Gasol, people who really liked Kobe wanted to pump him up even more. But yeah, perhaps some of it is due to nationality. I bet there were some who rooted against Dirk because he wasn't American especially in 2006; although I think the script changed in 2011 when the Heat became the villains.
That being said, people have some opinions that are kind of crazy. On Facebook, I saw one of my friends post in messaging group-
This one person on the wizards page said “I think sato will outplay Rivers” ****** idiot lol
I don't even know how to begin debating opinions like this. I could see a case where Rivers does take a leap working with Oladipo's trainer, but Satoransky as a starter was better than Rivers and it wasn't even close.
