Best collection of talent for chasing another ring. At this point he gets to cherry pick the situation that pleases him. If Embiid is healthy Philly has starpower 1-3 & 5. Bron slots in at 4. He doesn’t have to carry the load, just seize opportunities.

I think he was planning to leave and join the Knicks, but they won the title and the plan went to hell.
He was planning to do a whole 'bring the Knicks the title' run to try and cement himself as the GOAT. Hell, he's living in NY and flying over to Philly.

Agreed, NY winning the title was the worst possible thing for LeBron lol. :D

Oddly I’m happy he’s back in the East. I just want to beat him all four times. And/or a post season series.

I'm not sold on the Heat who look pretty thin if Giannis goes down with injury. Even the Sixers - they've got one legged Embiid as their only size. Cavs will be good, especially if they also land Kuminga.

I think the East is pretty wide open. If we have a motivated and healthy AD, we'll compete.

Detroit gonna really miss Stewart and Harris. No chance Collins is an upgrade over Harris and Stewart added toughness and energy they'll really miss. They seem soft and less capable of generating offense than last year.

Another team that's overbaked is Boston. General consensus is they'll win a lot of games because that's what they've done. Tatum coming off achillies, like Halliburton, and didn't look great in the playoffs. White older and less effective. Pritchard less effective because he was overworked and they don't have a 3rd guard. Their big's are all rim runners lacking any offensive skill.

Too many competitive teams, I don't see how either team will just stack wins like in years past.

It's a stretch to say this fits here, but I hope some of you will enjoy it all the same!

The Lakers franchise is being passed around like an incredibly expensive...(fill in the blank).

Obviously, Ballmer must have some sweet dirt on other owners and the league. The golden rule in action.

Iger doesn’t have the money. Kushner is worth $5 billion. Who’s really buying the Lakers? The UAE.

Wow, Denver gave Peyton away for nothing, that would have made for some interesting alternate scenarios had we made the move to get him. The Cavs just improved.

^Not really. It still wouldn't have included a 4/5.

Watson signing for just 4 years $88M bodes pretty well for the Bilal contract negotiations. I figure the market values Watson more than Bilal, so if Watson got $88M, then Bilal at roughly MLE money (4 years $67M) seems pretty reasonable. That's the contract range we have been proposing for a while now, hopefully frontloaded.

I really like the fit of Watson in Cleveland. That's a heck of a starting 5: Mitchell, Harden, Watson, Mobley, Allen.

It's a shame Denver had to let Watson go, but it was totally impossible to pay him and I guess they were unsuccessful at trying to dump Cam Johnson's salary. At this point, they really ought to consider blowing it up. Jokic will surely drag them to the playoffs, but they have no chance to advance past the 2nd round with this roster. The sooner they move Jokic, the more they could get back in return. A team like Utah or, frankly, Washington, is in position to trade a motherlode of picks and young assets to kickstart a Denver rebuild.

Interesting that Kuminga will land in Minny. It will be interesting to see how he does over the next two years alongside Edwards, Ball, McDaniels and Gobert.

Nope. No reason for hope.

The guy is an awful defender, and if you can't defend in the NBA at the center position, you just can't play.

There are tons of big slow centers with great offensive skill who look great in overseas competition. But when you put them in the NBA, with the spacing and the more restrictive rules on hand-checking and contact, these guys just can't hang defensively and get played off the court.

Yeah, at this point he is just trying to get his body to be able to take contact to be a drop coverage C.

He is never (IMO) going to be a starting C. Maybe a backup but more likely a 3rd C (if he gets there). Portland's GM is really bad at drafting.
