You did nothing wrong.

I'm still trying to figure out why I was called an opinion Nazi though.
Edit: This game had a bad vibe from the get go. It just seemed like we didn't come out and play. We settled for jumpers when we should have gone to the basket more, and when that was working a bit, they started shooting jumpers again. So frustrating, because it's the same formula every time for a Wiz-Cavs game.
I started it, indirectly.

I used the phrase "opinion fascist" first. I recall thinking Nazi ... hope I didn't go there but I was thinking it if I didn't say it.

Reminds me of my wife buying O'Douls....

I've got three young sons. Dad's too crazy to be a drinker and one thing I pride myself on is they've not seen me drink. But then the wife for reasons I don't know goes and buys three six packs of O'Douls. I like them and all but my 7-yr old thinks alcohol, drugs, O'Douls are all the same.

They see me drinking those and now he and my 11-yr old have asked if they can have some. Yikes!

Oh, hands and I often agree and I believe in his right to say what he has to say. I come to his defense even though I've seen how offended and annoyed many have become with the length of his posts, some repitition, and some mudslinging and back-and-forth.

I encouraged hands the wrong way today, just like the O'Douls did my boys.

I apologize for starting this, but I am getting tired of how the boards going lately. Folks react negatively to posters without even considering the veracity of what they're saying.

Cliquish rallying around certain guys and against others.

So it goes, I guess, but I can say it wasn't like this in the good old days.

Group Hug

Hey CCJ. Well said brother. I didn't mean it as offensive as it may have come across. To me, it's just a figure of speech. Granted, it was a strong one and I could have found a better way to say what I wanted.

As for the long posts. Hopefully people have seen my posts have gotten shorter. You made this suggestion not to long ago and did it in a non confrontational way so it was easy to hear.

The Clique thing is a little disappointing. I read this board for a while over the summer and was excited to be a member because it didn't seem that way and the members seemed to be objective about the team. Seems as the season started, things changed.

Completely horrible second half. Songaila continues to be useless and Blatche has fallen off a cliff since the Atlanta game. Pecherov has shown that he can be instant offense and bring some energy. I with EJ would go to him more.

Nick Young dunking on LeBron was almost worth the loss.

Almost...

On a positive note, Larry Hughes looks like absolute suck right now. He didn't touch the ball in the 1st quarter. $11.9M overpaid

cavs go with a lineup of Z and Sideshow Bob and Eddie the Lineup Genius goes with Darius Crapface and Blatche....

whatever...completely expected this letdown after such a great streak. We'll see Cleveland when it really counts I'm sure.

p.s. Let the Cleveland fans brag....they live in CLEVELAND

Bad loss. Every team has one. The only thing I was mad about was the lack of effort in the 3rd quarter, both before the lead grew to an insurmountable level and after.

But let me just say that I've never seen a team start out so hot and continuing that prowess throughout the entire game until tonight. Didn't Z finish 10-10?

Yep, you just have to forget this game. When your playing 82 games in a season, the players are bound to take at least one night off. I don't think different coaching, different line-ups, etc. would have made a difference this game. They all took the night off. As fans, you hate to see it and it pisses you off....but its a reality. The important thing is that they shake this one off, show it was an aberration and pummel the Grizzlies on Friday.

Just got finished watching the replay on DVR. I turned it off after the start of the 3rd quarter. What an embarrassment. Haywood and Blatche were pathetic. Maybe Etan coming back will put some fire back in Brendan because he has been mediocre for a while now.

I didn't think Haywood played that bad. Z got a couple of jumpers early on while Haywood stayed inside to "protect the rim". Then when Z started to post up, Haywood guarded him well. Z just hit some crazy $hit. Step-back 20 footers from a 7-3 center? C'mon!

Also, Haywood was the only starter who looked decent in the 3rd quarter. He had at least 3 offensive board putbacks.

One thing people message boards fail to forget is the other team played. Cleveland played flawless basketball tonight and they just toyed with the Wiz. The old zone, trap, double team defense that worked against Dallas, was a joke tonight because Cleveland passed so well out of the double team.

What is inecusable is the lack of effort once they got behind big. Even Eddie admitted he should have gotten the starters out in the first few minutes or first 30 seconds. Didn't have the b--s to do that obviously, but it really wouldn't have mattered much. The reserves can't much up with a good team.

Agreed. The Cavs were Villanova-in-1985 hot. And, the Wizards had probably started smellin' themselves after getting a ton of positive press over the past 3-4 days. I didn't like seeing the Wizards regress on defense and settle on offense, but I think they'll come back in the next game with a vengeance.

Here is what EJ has to say about Gils return in 2-3 wks
"He's around, he sees what we're doing, he's mature and he knows after all is said and done with his blog and what he tells you guys, he's very realistic about where we are and where he's going to be," Jordan said. "He knows that he's going to have to work in as far as getting his legs back with some practice time and then we'll make some decisions when he's ready to play. He's going to practice a significant time before he starts to play and when he's ready to play, we'll see whether coming off the bench is good for him and us; but if I were to guess, I would say he's going to be a starter."

EJ is right, it isnt the coaching, it isnt the starters, it isnt the bench....it is ALL OF THEM.

"We were very nonathletic," Jordan said. "We didn't play at the rim, much less above it. We didn't stay up with their cutters, we didn't get back in transition. We just weren't quick enough, strong enough or athletic enough and frankly, I stayed with the starters probably a half-quarter too long. They didn't deserve to play and our bench didn't give us a lot of enthusiasm, so from man one through 11 and the coaching staff, we just didn't bring it tonight."

The Wizards have the 14th-best record in the league. They have the 12th-best record road record. Relative to the competition, the Wizards are actually good on the road.
