A note on option 3 above -- the "affiliate player" route -- a team can do this with up to 4 guys.

So, it's possible that all 3 of Childs, Homesley & Taylor will wind up on the Go Gos -- & that Jordan Bell will join them as the 4th guy.

If we were to make a move that took us down to 14 on our regular roster, it seems likely that 1 of our 2-way players would be given a regular contract, & one of those 3 "affiliate players" would be signed to a 2 way contract to replace him.

It's also possible that another team signs a guy who's on your G League team (whether he's an affiliate or not) to a 2-way deal (or a regular contract, obviously).

The Wiz’ young players who figure to be in the rotation or have a good chance at being in the rotation (Rui, Deni, Brown, Bryant, Bonga, Moe) are a combined 17/37(46%) from three thru 2 preseason games. Let’s hope that continues.

Decent passer and defender that attacked the rim as a rookie. Injury, poor BBIQ and attitude did him no favors. Will be interesting to see if he has been humbled a bit and improved his skills at all

It’s sad to say but he might be the best backup C on this roster.

Probably. Great rookie season, went downhill from there, but only played 200 minutes last year.

Wow... this just won't die, will it?

Jordan Bell will play for the Go Gos.

Last March, the day before the G League suspended their season, the team picked Bell up on waivers. Then, over the Summer, Cleveland signed him. He was traded to the Lakers about 4 weeks ago. The Lakers waived him the following day.

Now, the Go Gos have him again.

Was tt some Rox fans about Wall and were telling them about the coaching he's had so I pulled up this article again. I still can't believe Wall played most of his career in this system and with low post bigs clogging the lane. We really did him a disservice with these dinosaur coacjing:

See, the Wizards will gladly take those long 2s. Wizards coach Randy Wittman, via Kyle Weidie of TruthAboutIt.net:

You take open shots. You take open shots. Where they are is dictated by what the defense does. If you predicate what kind of shot you’re going to take not based on what you’re doing reading the defense, you’re not going to get good shots. I just worry about goods shots.

You know what? Those numbers you can stick… alright? You know, all you analytical people that take that… You take good shots, that’s the most important thing. Maybe we’re not taking good midrange shots, maybe we’re taking contested ones. I understand the numbers are there for a reason, we look at the numbers, but to sit there and… We got a good, open shot we’re taking, I don’t care where it is.

Opposing defenses are suckering you, Randy. Those shots are open for a reason.

No NBA team shoots worse on long 2s (37 percent) and has them comprise a higher share of their total shots (46 percent) than the Wizards.

Sometimes, offenses with bad players are stuck taking long 2s. Defenses just win the battle.

But the Wizards don’t have bad offensive players. After all, they rank perform better than league average at all other locations.

They’re just too content with an open long 2 because it’s open, and that has evolved into them actually hunting open long 2s. Wittman noticed an area on the floor where he could schematically create open shots, and he thinks he’s taking advantage.

Really, he’s playing right into the defenses’ hands. He should spend more time formulating a gameplan that creates open short 2s and 3s for his players. They’re capable of delivering.

yeah its just pure boomer mentality. Just a refusal to use their brain to process new information in favor of an outmoded concept of "common sense".
