Military temporary business trip back in the day. Met a young lady right before returning my rental car, hours before flying back to home base.

If I could do that one over I'd have missed that flight and extended my stay.

Honestly three nights in Vegas is enough for me. After that you're just completely on fumes.

I've stayed 3 weeks in Vegas, twice, due to a convention with work. Both the best and worse time of my life.

Being someone that spent 7-8 days in Vegas at a time, 3 weeks sounds like a nightmare. Not enough gatorade/water I could drink to stay hydrated b/w the heat & alcohol. Not enough money in the world to truly enjoy myself like I'd like too out there either.

I usually need like a week for my body to recover after one of those trips.

The job put us up nice, at Caesars, pool view. After about 5 days I got so numb to everything, the cigar smoke, the slot machine noises, the Hispanic guys handing out cards on the street. This was on top of 12 hour work days. Every day, for 3 weeks.

Next time I suggest organic coconut water. Also, don't be too macho to not carry tons of bottled water. If you're putting in the work I think you are, like James Brown you'll want to "stay on the scene, like a sex machine".

Take your vitamins, eat a lot of sushi, oysters, salmon. Hit the pool NOT the sauna. That with liquor will dehydrate.

You could just do like me and go celibate for one hellaciously long time. Went out on a "house hunt tour" with a young lady today. As old as I am I couldn't give her a real hug cuz we might of been getting busy in a public parking lot in broad daylight. She definitely would have suspected I was happy to see her if you know what I mean--but I won't be fooled again. :D

I am starting to enjoy life again. She must think I have all kinds of money. NICE home in Kaneohe, HI.

not sure your meaning here. Swimming will not hydrate you. Active swimming will in fact dehydrate you.
Drinking fluids will obviously help.

Good catch. Jim being an endurance athlete reads that on a whole different level. Let me state this Barney simply, like the way my prurient interests run.

Take a dip in a cold, refreshing, pool if between doing all kinds of romantic exercise. If it's a private pool and a companion of your choosing (WIFE?) joins that's even better. Do not lap swim! You WILL become dehydrated. Sleepy, too, if you're like me.

Water invigorates. Dat, whatever you did in Vegas sounds to me like not a lot of fun if you take that long to recover.

You're both wrong. Actually, if you open your mouth while swimming, like a baluga whale swallowing thousands of krill, it will definitely hydrate you.

In 2013 I spent 7 nights in vegas. Being an Australian in Vegas was very very weird but really cool. Its a whole different world...

Theres loads of rules and regulations in Australia, you can do so much in vegas and nobody cares... Little things like drinking on the streets just walking around.... AT 9AM. One time we were casino bar hopping and checking everything out. I remember walking out of one casino with a glass of bourbon on the rocks in my hand straight past security, and straight past security again into the next casino.... I couldnt believe no one even batted an eye.

And man... we put one night aside and asked a taxi driver to take us to "the least touristy bar he could think of." I cant remember the name of this small nightclub but we were the only Australians there for sure, it was like being a celebrity everyone wanted to hang out. We drank all through the night and watched the sun come up still drinking and dancing at this place. Most bars in this place close up at like 3am at the latest.

Vegas is basically my heaven. But we did have some seedy encounters there. One really really dangerous one on the first night that involved drugs, thugs and a firearm. Quite a story that i wont disclose here but its sometjhing to make my grandkids think im cool one day.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

I've never been to Vegas (RealGM WizBoard 2016 Meetup?) but I've been to Atlantic City (unfortunately) and Prague, which is essentially Paris mixed with Vegas.
I can say that that Prague spring break was definitely the craziest week of my life.

Hate to break it to you brother--that beautiful, majestic, azure Hawaiian water you swim in? It's full of fish doodoo, whale pee pee, and dolphin sperm. Enjoy your swim tomorrow.

Sperm whale jizz, too?

Sometimes, slightly inland the water runs off the mountain and turns the shoreline ocean water straight up brackish brown. It even smells a bit nasty. I don't get in that.

AFM, I survived promiscuity in the 80s and 90s. My immune system's pretty good. I ain't worried about what's in the ocean. Some of the women I knew in the past were nastier, most likely. Just being real. :(

The nastiest thought to me is that when you sleep with someone you're pretty much sleeping with all their someones. Every nasty disease, fungal infection, whatever is on them and potentially you. People "going in raw" these days are CRAZY.

I loved Prague, though I didn't spend as much time there as I would have liked. Probably my third favorite city in Europe after Barcelona and Moscow.

Did it involve the phrase "Pick one"?

I don't know if any one saw the pats-colts last night, but that fake punt play by the Colts was the worst snap in NFL history as far as I'm concerned. If you haven't seen it do yourself a favor and YouTube it.
