Nats about to get jumped???? :D

Nats were never seriously involved. They have about eight outfielders and Ozuna's year might have been a fluke (or PEDish). Donaldson or Machado would be another story but why are you worried about the Nats? How about the Cubs?

More important to sign Harper to an extension, if not Robles, Eaton, Taylor, and about 3 others are in the mix. Robles will be a stud. Not sure why they are f-ing around with Arieta before they re-sign Harper. If they can't sign him, just take the draft pick and ride him through the rest of the year.

Think they are a No. 4-5 starting pitcher and maybe another lefty middle reliever of being a complete team. Would also like another quality catcher to put Wieters on the bench more. Getting Howie back was a great move. Didn't want to lose Kendrick and Lind. Maybe Dave Martinez will actually use him in the playoffs.

Sounds like Rizzo is pissed about his contract. If they lose in the first round again, he might be gone.

Realmuto does have a lot of value - with 3 more years of probaly cheap arbitration control- but they aren't going to get what they got for Yelich - like Nat said. They got a real nice package for Yelich - including Lew Brunson who's a heckuva young player - but even Brunson is no Robles.

Btw, with Robles and then Soto next in line, the Nats aren't going to need to keep Harper, but I think he'll end up re-signing anyway. It's a great situation - wish I was a Nats fan instead of an O's fan.

Lol, I'd much rather the Nationals get him than the Yankees. The O's couldn't have handled the situation worse. There's no way they re-sign him, and they wait till he's a rental to try to trade him when it was obvious they weren't going to contend last season. Even if they do trade him, they won't get even half value for him.

“Us” being the cardinals. Take two of our top pitching prospects and build around them. (Weaver, Flaherty, Hicks, Hudson, Helsley, Greene)

Supposedly, the O's want 2 good pitching prospects for him, so... but O's have announced they're moving him to SS. Maybe that's a bluff - I don't know. Manny's going to have to lose a bunch of weight to do that. He gained quite a lot over the last 2 years - I'm guessing he played at 230 lbs last season.

I think Harper returning is 50/50. I fear the Cubs legitimately have a great shot. Dodgers too.
