Miami is a collection of one-on-one players at the moment. They look nothing like an NBA team. LeBron & Wade just take turns attacking but they don't seem to work well together at all at the moment.

I suspect Spolestra will get canned sooner than later and Riley will eventually take over and they'll begin to gain some cohesiveness on offense. They need to forget about trying to start Arroyo, Chalmers or whoever. Make LeBron run point full-time and let him create for himself and others. It looks too much like Cleveland's offense at this point with a bunch of non-shooters standing around waiting for LeBron to do everything. Where's the pick & roll or pick & pop with LeBron & Bosh or Wade & Bosh? Way too many ISO's. Wade also just looks off and totally out of sync.

Riley has a chance to cement his legacy though with this group. Right now LeBron & Wade look more like Carmelo & Iverson. Can he eventually have them looking like Jordan & Pippen? The talent is there.

I just realized that Miami's win percentage so far is worse than last season's.

Does this mean that Jermaine O'Neal > Bosh and Beasley > LeBron ? j/k

Well it's been nice knowing you guys. I have a feeling that the ban hammer will be coming down upon me soon in the wake of my posting this egregious tirade on the Heat board:

There seems to be a lot of hostility on this board, but I don't understand it. I think the Heat are a really good team. I mean, sure your team has hit a rough patch, but the team will pull through it. Trust me on this, I KNOW basketball. It's pretty much been my favorite sport for like 10 years. I have THREE fantasy teams, all of which are top 3 in their respective leagues. I said before this season even started that the Heat would be a team on the rise this season. I still think that. In fact, I still think there's a decent chance that they could make the playoffs as a 7th or 8 seed. Not too shabby, and certainly nothing to be ashamed of especially when you consider that would make them one of the top 16 teams in the entire NBA! Which is like one of the top five basketball leagues on the planet. So keep your chin up Heat fans, Rome wasn't built in a day. With some careful off-season maneuvering and a little bit of luck I'm sure the Heat will grow into one of the league's elite teams. It might just take a few years. You never know ... if the ping pong balls bounce your way, maybe you'll be lucky enough to land one of those "once-in-a-generation" talents like Dwight Howard. God bless.

You could do that in Miami now.

Well Dwayne Wade is certainly worse than last year, so no.

I believe there is some tension between Wade and LeBron. LeBron is a dominant personality. I always felt no matter which team he ended up on, that it was gonna end up being his team.

I have noticed from the Heat`s very first game of the season, that Wade was trying to assert his dominance on the team. Almost as if he was trying to prove to everyone that it was still his team and not Lebron`s...

There is also not much communication between the two on the court. Lebron and Bosh communicate, as do Haslem and LeBron. It almost seems as if Wade is a bit of an outcast at this point..

Now, this team has many issues. The fact they are severely unbalanced, have no inside presence, or a coach, let alone a System..But, no matter if they had all of the above, it wouldn`t matter for much if the two best players on the team don`t get a long.

Wade should just take a back seat, and allow LeBron to run the show..

There are some issues on this team, that extend much farther than the court.. Interesting to see how it plays out.. Maybe a Wade or Bosh trade?

I've thought about Bosh trades but would anybody take his contract, especially with his weaknesses being exposed more now that he's in Miami? If they could swing it, even if just for 3 rotation worthy players, it might be worth it (especially one of them is a PG and the other two are bigs who rebound).

But dealing Wade? Man, that would be a PR nightmare. Wade already brought the city it's first NBA title. He then suffered through several mediocre seasons because the organization was patiently waiting for the summer of 2010. Then he takes less money so that both Bosh and LeBron can sign, while also leaving some room to fill out the roster. Then you trade him? No way.

Not to mention that it would push the LeBron hate over the edge because it'll look like LeBron drove Wade out of town. No serious NBA fan would like or even respect LeBron for the rest of his life. Hmmm...on second thought...trade Wade! :D

What's funny is that Wade for Arenas could work for both teams. The Wiz would presumably need to include more in the package but Gil would solve their PG issue and his outside shooting would open things up for Lebron. Wade would benefit from having a true PG like Wall and would give the Wiz a go-to scorer that can also defend. Never happen, though.

Kind of reminds me of the women in the church I attend.

Now, the fellas get along nicely in the men's group. Anybody that doesn't like anyone else you wouldn't hear about it. Guys have a great time kidding around. Doing stuff like going golfing or bowling or sharing in worship activities. It's a MEN'S fellowship ...

OTOH Lebron and Dwayne Wade, they remind me of what the pastor has to preach against. In private he's used the term "silly women". There always seems to be gossip and infighting. The women sing and coordinate stuff and have girly meetings. However, there's some diva stuff and talking behind one another's back going on most of the time. Much pouting. Lebron's a pouter. Nothing's his fault but behind the scenes you just KNOW he's projecting about who is at fault. Wade seems to me to be a seething, silent angry type. Not as vocal in displeasure as Lebron, but Wade looks like the type that will throw them all under the bus.

IF THERE IS CONFLICT BETWEEN WADE (serious now) it's probably because Wade is very loyal to Coach Spoelstra, however, Lebron's already said a bunch of things that undermine Spoelstra. Since coming to the Heat, that team's not D Wade's (alone) and now D Wade's coach might get fired.

I'm LOVING THIS and did see this coming, potentially, I posted this past summer that the Heat are either going to be very good very soon or they're going to be a terrible team chemistry-wise. I knew it would implode if they didn't win very often and very soon. Too much expectations.

I think we can all see that team's jacked up chemistry-wise. No fast start has really demoralized that team.

Lebron's more of a douche probably than what any woman uses. Wade's prissy, too, IMO.

LMAO Miami had 49 points at the half. 7:50 into the third, they still have 49. Dallas has scored 14 unanswered.

Well, it appears that Miami goes down again.

I guess the 70 win season is in jeopardy. Unless they maybe win out.

Question: Do sports and media outlets (like USA today) *still* have specific individual writers assigned to the Heat?

My question is: Why?

ESPN Heat Index??

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA - How I HATE ESPN and their ignorant talking heads.

I love the Heat Index. It's taken unintentional comedy to a new level. I can't think of anything that can top it.

No. It's a very clever splice of a Jordan commercial from 2 years ago...
