Re: The Tank Watch is in effect
ANTHONY DAVIS is a great prospect but I don't think he is going to come into the NBA league and take over. The kid is listed as 6-10 220. He is going to get pushed around until he fills out. I think he will have a bumpy first year.
"Due to his skinny frame, Davis also isn't a very effective post-up threat at this stage. He uses about one possession per game working with his back to the basket, but only scores or gets fouled around 25% of the time in these situations. As he continues to fill out physically and adds bulk to his upper and lower body, Davis will likely have more success establishing position in the paint. While he isn't lacking toughness, he simply doesn't have the strength to avoid being pushed around by older players."

If that happened to him in college, just wait till he goes up against NBA players. It's going to take a few years for him to add this bulk.
Beal and Robinson have more NBA ready bodies given their positions.

19.9% CHANCE OF ANTHONY DAVIS

Add to that the second worst record is due to win it.....(although so is the worst)
In theory we have 19.9% chance of making the playoffs next season
Charlotte: 7-51/8 games left/ Uncatchable
2. Washington: 14-45/7 games left 7 games behind/ 16 to 19 wins
3. New Orleans: 17-42/7 games left 3 games behind 19 to 21 wins
4. Sacramento 19-41/ 6 games left 4.5 games behind 19 to 20 wins
5. Cleveland 19-38/ 9 games left 6 games behind 20 to 23 wins
6. Toronto 21-39/6 games left
7. New Jersey 22-38/6 games
8. Detroit 22-37/7 games
9. Golden State 22-36/8 games left
10. Minny 25-35/6 games left
Washington: Vs Cle, 15, @ Chi, 17, Vs Mil, 19-20, @Mia, 22, Vs Char, 24, @ Cle, Mia: 2-5 wins
New Orleans: Vs Memp, @ Char, 17, @ Memp, Vs Hou, 20-21, @ LAC, 23, @ GS: 2-4 wins
Sacramento: Vs Port, 16-17, Vs SA, 19, Vs OKC, 21, @ Char, 23, @OKC: 0-1 Win
Cleveland: @ Was, Vs Orl, 16, @ Det, Vs Phil, 19, VS NY, 21, @ SA, @ Memph, 24, Vs Was, @ Chi : 2-4 wins
That's how I see the scenarios. Im a little nervous about Sacramento and Cleveland, but not much, i think we're safe so long as win only 2-3 games. A 4-3 finish would risk the #2 slot pre-lottery, 5-2 could prove totally disastrous (though highly unlikely).

Exactly right, especially since the Hornets play the Bobcats next iirc. We are locked in (not mathematically yet, but it's going to happen.)

They have a very solid roster. It's just that they couldn't stay healthy. Now that Gordon and Landry are back, they're hitting their stride.
Now that it looks like we've got the #2 slot all but sewn up, it's time to start cheering for wins again!

Yes, Williams has been doing-well with that patched -together team despite the injuries, trades, and drama.

+1, I'd love to have him as the Wiz coach

So NO gets CHA next and we have CHI.
We are current 4 game behind them. So if they can win again CHA and we lose, we have a 5 game spread with 5 games to go.
Hopefully we get everyone back on the court and go for some wins. I expect we get Nene back out there in the next game or two and there will be a Dray sighting.
But who is the back up SG ? All we have is Martin right now.

How is Blatche playing at all connected to winning?

EXACTLY. Hands, Dray is a loser and is not a guy a winning program features. What do you see in that idiot, man? He isn't good!

I think we've clinched #2 most ping pong balls, guys. Not officially, but I don't see us catching NOH anymore.

Those were two separate thoughts. There was an "and" in between them. Nene back "and" I expect we will get a Dray sighting.
But Dray does help with Depth and experience. "and" a not out of shape Dray at the end of a season usually puts up good numbers. They have mentioned Nene getting ready to come back but said Booker not as likely. They sets things up to have Dray return for a few games. I have been wondering about this for a few weeks not trying to predict if they will put him back out there.
But the only way they will put him out there is if he is noticeably in shape. If not, he may get booed. Hard to say what the booth would do. They shut him down and sent him to the gym, so if he looks in better shape, they may give him a chance without booing him the second he enters the game. Or, they can always just play him on the road. But I haven't heard a peep about Dray from the team in a while. They haven't said he won't play but they haven't said he would either.
Anyone got any news on Dray ? I read some Tweets. Sounds like all he is doing is working out. And I read that article were his mom got real with him. Basically said they are getting on you because they know you have more talent them you are showing with your dedication to getting in shape. Which is basically the deal.

Re: The Tank Watch has expired. Time to cheer to win again!
Who said anything about featuring him ?
As for him not being any good, come on.. that is just hate. Dray clearly has skills. That was never the issue. They were just hidden behind the NECK FAT. The issue was him getting lazy and weak minded/lack of discipline. Something I know I can relate to. Its not always easy to do what you need to do when you can do what you want to do and get away with it for a while. Yeah, eventually it catches up with you. Then you have to dig out. I'm sure we have all had our moments with that. Some people are more productive when their backs are against the wall. It gets them focused. I'm like that. Better in a crisis or with a deadline to meet.
I have posted a lot about the mental aspect of the game. Actually, it applies to all of us in regular life as well. There is a lot to it and those how can master that part are the ones that shine if they have the skills to match. The mental part is more then 50% of the game.
I predict Dray will make a come back. What happened to him was exactly the kind of thing to get his attention. Now that he has been chopped back down and his back is against the wall, he will find his focus. Some folks just operate better when they have to prove themselves. The great ones keep that mind set even once they are shining. Its a mental game you have to play. MJ did it. He was always looking for new changes to motivate himself.

Re: The Tank Watch has expired. Time to cheer to win again!
I think being in the top 5 makes a big difference in this draft. Obviously the number 1 pick would be preferable. I think Drummond would be a terrible pick for the Wizards, but I think some other team takes a gamble on him in the top 4. That leaves either Beal or Robinson as the worst case scenario.

Washington also announced it has signed James Singleton for the rest of the season.
When will we hear about this unnamed new person that are going to bring in to replace Roger.

Yep, it's why Im beginning to get giddy, but am not ready to throw the party yet. Not till New Orleans is mathematically eliminated and we've locked in 2 pre-lottery. A top 5 pick is enormous. It's the same reason why I was so desperate for a top 2 pick if not the #1 overall for the redskins last year, and then by November why I was so desperate to land 4 and finish ahead of Cleveland (so we'd be in a better trade up position and not get hosed) and why I was desperate to lose those last games down the stretch, particularly the finale, that locked in a bottom six finish as this draft was, and is 6 deep in terms of elite difference makers, and finishing outside the top 6 would destroy trade down value, as well as the overall value of the slot. That's why Jacksonville is completely and totally screwed now. There are 4 non-QB's viewed as elite blue chippers in the draft, and Jacksonvilles moronic victory against the Colts in the finale pushed them out of the top 6 sweepstakes, and destroyed their draft day flexibility. Now the only way their slot has any value is if Minnesota, Cleveland, Tampa or St. Louis does something unbelievably stupid.
Just like that, a 3rd slot pre-lottery finish for us would run a massive risk of screwing us on draft day if we were hosed in the lottery. At the end of the day, picking 6 would have been catastrophic, picking 5th would still insure that we'd either have great value for a trade down if Drummond was the guy, or the choice to take the risk on his raw ability, that's still vastly more valuable than when the bottom falls out of tier 2 at slot 6.
What are the lottery percentages for us if we have the 2 slot? from 1-5? I tend to imagine if we finish second, it's highly likely our pick would be top 4, but I don't know what the percentages actually are beyond our chance to land the #1 overall.

19.9% CHANCE OF ANTHONY DAVIS
