Johnathan Hildred Wall, Jr. is about killing me. I know this will get killed, but you know what we miss? Okafor's leadership. Nene, Beal, Wall (sometimes), Webster and I assume Gortat are not leaders. We need a big who is a leader. Oddly enough, Ariza is leading our team. I don't think that's a positive.

Folks are knocking Booker, but he's currently leading the team in rebounds. Granted, it's only 4 rebounds, but it's not like anyone else is snagging them.

I'd like to see Webster established as the 6th man - with a few plays run for him to get him started. It looks like Harrington is filling that role for now. Perhaps Witt didn't like the idea of Webster trying to match up with Smith.

Ariza with the steal and assist to Wall.

Who would have thought the singular reason we're even in this game is Trevor Freaking Ariza?

Good perimeter defense this quarter is slowly bringing them back into this game.

Typical. 1st game of the season... :)

All I can say is - Wizards will be hard to beat this season. They are still in game, playing THAT BAD...
Offense wins games, Defense wins championships...

Agreed. If they put Webster in, he should theoretically be getting the same looks Ariza has been getting and hitting. The offense could keep rolling.

Which is why I was hoping they could resign him.

Should be interesting to see how this plays out with him, Webster and Otto.

Unselfish pass by Ariza. For those who were so sure it was the wrong move to start Ariza over Webster, I think it's pretty obvious that Ariza is simply the better all-around player.

Good thing we're not giving his backup the full MLE.
