Unfortunately, Gonzaga&Baylor games were postponed, otherwise, Mobley, Butler, Cunningham, and Suggs would all be in action today against really good ranked teams.

Cunningham has an awesome matchup against a good Texas team that has good guard play. Mobley goes up against a ranked UCLA team

Watching that OKS/Texas game. Cunningham got in very early foul trouble, but it's really Kai Jones of Texas that's giving him fits. Jones is listed at 6'11 218 - he's super-quick for a guy that tall - a tremendous defensive wing. Doesn't look skilled offensively, but he's made 8 of 19 3's this season, and he's well coordinated with good hands. It might take him a while to develop offensively, but Kai Jones has serious defensive potential. Really not sure I've seen a 6'11 wing defender like him.

Interesting. Sort of like a rich man's Isaac Bonga.

Tankathon has him slotted to go 22nd.

The announcer just mentioned that Cade Cunningham has a 7-2 wingspan.

Mobley looks smaller than I expected...

Physically he reminds me of Bosh.

What a half from Mobley. USC ran everything through him. Great passer, plays under control, great touch around the basket.

Seems like if there’s a knock on his game, it’s that the motor runs a little hot and cold and he doesn’t rebound outside his area very much. His defense in pick and rolls whether dropping back or switching, was picture perfect

Enh. I don’t see anything special.

And — spindly legs. Reminds me of Ralph Sampson in that regard.

Doesn’t look that athletic. Or that big. Or that freakishly coordinated.

Yeah kind of a meh performance from Mobley in a game that USC won easily. His teamate was absolutely on fire, that was really the story. Not much to talk about.

The best performance of the day was hands down the PG from Illinois, Ayo Dosunmu. They blew out Wisconsin and Ayo just totally dominated the game and put up 21-12-12 on 12 total shots. He’s one of the more under the radar players in the draft.

He was considered a very mediocre offensive player going into this season, but he really had the ball on a string yesterday, and he's made more than 40% of his 3's this season - which is supposed to be his biggest weakness. Man, their center is Shaq-sized.

Reminds me a bit of John Wall, though not as explosive. He's a pretty big guard, long and wiry, a hitch in his jumper, great vision, and the ability to manipulate the defense.

I'm surprised he is shooting 41% from 3-point range. His shooting form looks pretty bad. I note that he doesn't attempt many 3's, so maybe he is okay on catch-and-shoots but just can't shoot off the dribble.

I've been following Ayo Dosunmu since I saw him light G'Town up as a freshman. Great size, good D, gets to the rim, extremely clutch. I mentioned him as a possible second round target in the 2020 draft but he withdrew from the draft after announcing he was coming out.

The knock on Ayo has been his 3pt shooting so it's good to see it's gotten a lot better. He's looking like a possible lottery pick now.

I agree on his shooting - while it has improved, it's going to be a questionmark in the NBA. Love his hesitation moves. He's 6'5 200, and he's got a big frame - to add even more muscle.

What do people think about Kai Jones? If he can put on some muscle I can see him evolving into a Bam Adebayo type.

This the kind of big you need. If he's just going to be a non-skilled big, he must be able to switch 1-5. Players like Lopez, Len and Wagner are now niche players. You play them for a specific matchup. Jones is the future.

If watched a few full Texas games in order to check out some prospects on the other team, and Jones&Brown do not really impress me. Brown is pretty awful, Jones is better, but neither stand out very much.

Suggs put on a show against a really good BYU team on the road. Made shots, took care of the ball, played elite defense. Was unstoppable down the stretch driving to the basket and finishing.

24-5-3-2 on 18 shots in 27 minutes.

Cunningham was a mixed bag again, made some 3s in the 2nd half, got to the free throw line a lot, but had 7 turnovers and 1 assist. Didn’t really make his teamates better. He’s now up to 63 turnovers on the year with only 54 assists. The 2pt% continues to plummet, was 3-14 from 2pt tonight. He has serious issues finishing around the basket.

26-9-1-2 on 18 shots in 37 minutes.

The brilliant ESPN analysts have absolutely no other insight to add to this conversation other than “Gonzaga has a better team” it’s pathetic.

Suggs is a stud. He would be such a Godsent!

Also, I agree with you from previous posts that Jared Butler would be worth a look if the Wiz somehow miraculously turn the ship, make the playin tournament and reach the playoffs. Tankathon has him mocked at 19 currently.
