Wizards trade Brown and Wagner for Gafford and Hutchinson

Is Hutchison out of the rotation or is there more to the story?

Since the Pacers game he's 3/22 from the field. He's not that good but also Bertans and Ish are back from injury.

It's hard to succeed in the NBA without a good shooting touch, and he just doesn't seem to have it.

It was an awful trade. I like Gafford, but we gave away the better and more versatile player in Brown while taking on Hutchinson's 4M salary next year. TS ~50% with as many turnovers as assist... the guy is a 10-12th man and making 4M next year. Awful

The extra year on Gafford’s contract is big, if he does turn out to be a good player.

This trade was never for Hutchinson, it was always about Gafford.

I think you're totally wrong, PIF. The most important person in the trade from the Zards standpoint was Gafford. Why? Because he fills the need for a rim protector. He was not a "throw in." And the Bulls don't make the trade unless they get Brown.

The Zards don't trade Brown for Hutchinson and the Bulls don't trade Gafford for Moe. It was a Brown for Gafford trade. The throw ins were Hutch and Moe.

On top of that, you have no idea how much or how little the Bulls valued Gafford.
