Could Avdalas be top 5?

To say that Wilson met the moment would be an understatement. His boundless enthusiasm and effort brought the North Carolina fans into the game in a big way, with no better example than when he helped force a 10-second half-court violation and flexed to an already raucous crowd. He chased loose balls and created second chances with offensive rebounds regularly, with his tip-dunk setting the tone within the first minute of the game....

It’s hard to find competitive two-way wing/forwards who are listed at 6-10 and possess this kind of athleticism. Unsurprisingly, the consensus from scouts after the game was that Wilson is clearly shaping up as a top-10 player in the class, with a couple noting that they felt the top five was attainable if he continues at this pace. He’ll need to round out his overall offensive repertoire if he’s going to enter that top echelon, but no one is limiting Wilson’s ceiling after Friday’s remarkable performance.

Ngl, Even outside of the top 3, there seems to be legit all-star talent. This year is shaping up to be special for teams throughout the first round. What I would do to turn some of our assets to move back up into the mid-1st.

Two guys who might be top 10 picks probably wont play their first games until December, Quaintance and Mullins.

Yeah. We can use the likely 30th pick (OKC's pick) to take on a bad salary (we'll be flush with cap space) draft time if we want to move up. If Portland makes the playoffs, the Bulls get their pick. Would Chicago trade from the 15th-20th pick down to 30 if we took on Patrick Williams?

Avdalas at 6-9 playing PG qualifies as positional size I would think.

Looks good in those highlights. Interesting that at this time, Tank only has him at #36.

Seemingly every day there's another prospect being talked about that could be a difference maker.
Love to get Peterson (duh). Love to get a lead guard. Brown looks intriguing. Love to get a physical 4/5 to play
alongside Sarr.

Just peeked at Caleb Wilson (UNC) on Tank. Dang! He has 17 categories of 4+ stat strengths. Are you kidding me!
And he's only mocked 8th.

I've watched Wilson a couple of times. His stats look good but on the court he looks really weak and i don't trust him handling the ball much. No chance he is 6'10. I like him but i think he is getting a big overhyped. Dont think he would be a great fit here either.

:o

20 pts in the first half for Mikel. His pg skills look legit and he is dynamic taking it to the rim. One of his most impressive drives was that dunk attempt that he missed after getting fouled.

That kid from Va Tech reminds me of Deni. I say we get him. Kind of funny. Trade Deni to ensure the tank. Then tank to take Deni.

obviously still very early in the season with 70 games to play.
3 teams (WAS, IND and BRK) now tied at the top with identical 1-10 records.
I was about to say something positive about IND and then looked at the scores
from last night. They gave up 152 points to the Jazz who have now won 4 games.

He looked REALLY good! Type of player we don’t have and need. If we end up at 4-6 and take him I would be fine with that , he has star potential.

As of now I’m probably ranking the top of the draft something like this…

1. Peterson
2. Dybantsa
3. Boozer
4. Wilson
5. Brown
6. Peat
7. Avdalas
8. Ament
9. Sarr
10.Cenac

I kind of see the depth of this year's draft as bad for the Wizards. It kind of levels the playing field for the not so bad teams to take a jump?

Wiz take brown and they become the next version of Indiana pacers. Sarr = turner, brown = hali.

Return to Washington Wizards
