I just don't see Lebron coming back to Cleveland. Why would he? The owner figuratively pissed on him when he left. He's gone through their fans spewing hate at him. He's even made the point that he grew up in Akron where they hate Cleveland. When he was young, we wore a throwback Wes Unseld jersey; not a Brad Daugherty. It seems to me if Cleveland is making plans around him returning, they're setting themselves up for another Lebron "Oh no he didn't" moment.

Agreed. It's a feel-good story pushed by the media. It might even be part of LeBron's strategy to recover from "The Decision" to make it seem like he's open to reconciliation. But there will be other opportunities for him that will trump the Cavs IMO.

Joining an aging but still really good Kobe under the bright lights of LA, or even teaming up with a young superstar like Derrick Rose (which is why I think the talk about a Deng extension is ridiculous) would both be better options than going back to Cleveland IMO. It would also be tough for him to leave Miami if they 3-peat. That puts CLE at 4th on the "LeBron in 2014" list IMO.

So if Milwaukee gets Teague

Teague, Ridnour, Smith
Mayo, Delphino
Huge hole
Henson, Ilyasova, Gooden, Udoh
Sanders, Pachulia, Ayon

Do they go after Turkuglo or Kirilenko? I guess they have Ilyasova at SF for now.

Kirilenko does look like a possibility - if he wants to play in Milwaukee. And Milwaukee can increase their cap space by amnestying Gooden.

Wow, didn't know about the Ridnour trade. From MIL's perspective, they traded Moute for Ridnour, which is a good deal IMO. Now just have to see if ATL matches the offer to Teague.

With Chicago having Butler and signing Dunleavy, maybe they call about Luol Deng? Udoh+Ayon+first for Deng?

Yeah, that's the way to look at it for Milwaukee - and Ridnour is an expiring, while a Moute had another year left on his deal. Still waiting for details - if any - on the Ridnour "trade".

There was a report that Chi was looking to extend Deng.

If Miami gets knocked out of the playoffs and Cleveland proves to have a better supporting cast than Miami not to mention other alternatives.

Actually one of the few trades where Deng might be worthwhile...

Even if Miami misses the playoffs, Lebron still wouldn't go back to Cleveland.

I think you'll see plenty of Delfino at the 3.

Who is Smith? They have Nate Wolters too.

Yeah, there were also reports before the draft that teams were willing to give up top picks to get Deng (maybe even CLE at #1). Sounds like agent-planted stuff to me. LOL

If the Bulls let Deng's deal expire and they amnesty Boozer, they'll have near max cap space in 2014 (maybe max depending on where the cap is set). With LeBron potentially on the market, I think they hold onto that possibility. They can always re-sign Deng next summer. And if he walks, there will be guys like Ariza on the market as comparable/cheaper replacements.

Ish.

I mean Ish is Smith's name. Wolters likely beats him out, imo.

Delphino at the 3 might happen, but it's not a pleasant thought. They need to get a 3.

If Milwaukee gets Kirilenko, suddenly their offseason looks pretty good. They wildy overpaid for Zaza but he's still a solid backup C. I like Teague a lot more than I do Jennings. They avoided resigning Monta Ellis which improves them and they have a lot of quality depth on their front line. In this case I'd clearly put them ahead of the Wizards and possibly the Knicks who have downgraded a bit IMO.

Ishmael Smith - good point about Wolters! And Giannis Antetokounmpo but I guess he will play overseas this year.

Yeah, I kind of thought they would give Ayon a run and let him play his 13 mpg again behind Sanders. Go figure - they could have chased a SF with those $$s. Or at least trade one of Henson, Ilyasova, Gooden, Udoh for a SF.

And yes, Teague is a big jump especially because he already knows Drew's system. If they do fill the SF slot with someone more than just adequate, I think they jump us.

Nick Young to the Lakers...him and Kobe on the same team. That should make for some entertaining comedy for whenever Kobe comes back.

Nick has tried to model his career after Kobe's - right down to the beaten sexual assault charge.

And now, betwen Kobe/Nick and KG/Blatche, we'll get to see the original articles teamed up with their Bizarro clones.
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

Did they sign him for the minimum?
