Can't wait to hear these two pat themselves on their shoulders for landing a coach with such pedigree.

Could always be worse. Team could have hired Mo Cheeks to be head coach, now he'll only be an assistant here.

No problem with bringing one of the better defensive point guards of his era to help John along with another former PG in Brooks.

What an org, Grunfeld will probably get to ride on this 5-years too. In typical Wizards fashion they rush-in with a small di__ck offer.
Now to sit-back and wait to see who Ernie rush's to panic-sign when KD says he ain't comin. Welcome Scott.

JEFF GREEN COME ON DOWN!

Local, played for Brooks, puts up empty stats....

I'm thinking 4/$80M

$35 million for a coach? Agents must love EG. He has no spine.

It could be worse. Yeah, the process was focacta, but Brooks is a good coach. They could have done worse. This isn't Kevin Loughery or Leonard Hamilton.

Well hopefully he is more successful as a big name than the late Flip Saunders was.

Brooks ain't bad. I just don't feel very confident that he will do well here. We still got Ernie getting the players after all.

They have one more card that could but won't be played: Let Grunfeld go and bring Troy Weaver from OKC.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Jeff Green apparently averages 35 points a game on 80% shooting when he plays in the Verizon Center. 41 games of that and you'll get something like 17 PPG on 40% shooting for the year. Not bad.

Dollars to donuts Ernie's play was to convince Ted that the "plan" to get Durant s still on. It just might not happen until 2017. Job security in tact. Check.

Good interview with Scott back in February. First part is about his playing days, but go to 15 Min mark to hear more about his coaching.

How-long can he keep this charade going? Ernie is still the guy making trades and ditching draft picks.
I swear, there's a great NetFlix series in telling his story.

The Wizards are pleased to announce their continued dedication to mediocrity. Yay. I guess I should go back to lurking, unless a true miracle happens and Durant actually comes home.

Hey, I was just in the neighborhood and I noticed your mangy little fleabag of a dog so I wanted to comment on it. Really hideous face its got there. I feel for you guys.

What? WTF are you getting angry at me for? I just came here to get off my high horse and pity you for having such a pathetic runt of a dog! No good deed goes unpunished, that's what they say, right?
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.
