Oh for sure. But he has ambitions to be a public voice of some kind about the Wizards -- & he's perfectly capable of it too! -- & that desire isn't helped by posting on a discussion board.

To do what he wants to do, he needs a platform like BF where he can write articles that can get some distribution (at least via their URLs), & he needs to exploit other kinds of platforms & tools -- podcasts, twitter, etc.

Hope he gets where he wants to go. All the same, his participation here was valued, & it would be great to have him back!

You see Schroder got signed for 2M a year?

Any thoughts?

On paper/in isolation it is a very good move for the Lakers.

I think it does potentially make their "Westbrook situation" worse. There are rumors of Westbrook moving to a 6th man role, which could make sense if Westbrook is willing to try it. While a 3 guard line-up for the Lakers would have defensive issues, with Westbrook's rebounding it might not have the issues on the boards that is common with having 3 guards on the court.

When was the last time a 3 guard line up won anything when one or two of those "guards were not over 6'7?

Continuing his warp speed remake of the Jazz, Danny Ainge just traded Bojan Bogdanovic to Detroit for Kelly Olynyk & Saben Lee.

I don't know why Detroit would want Bogdanovic, given that they are obviously rebuilding. Maybe they think they can trade him for youth at the deadline. Probably right about that too, come to think of it.

Saben Lee is a good young player. I bet Danny moves Olynyk. In fact, there have to be more changes coming for the Jazz, as they now have 18 guys with guaranteed contracts!

Looking at the Celtics situation, I am not understanding how a 1 year suspension of the coach would be an acceptable situation for any party involved. Either fire him , fine him, and/or reprimanded him. A coach coming back after a year would be handicapped, as would the franchise.

I cannot see him ever coaching Boston again.

I think Boston is trying to get Udoka to quit. Definitely agree that it is hard to see how he could coach in Boston again.

At this point a lot of the details are rumors. It seems there must have been a pattern of behavior such as harassment after the affair ended and/or a pattern of behavior.

Thought this article about the Warriors was interesting.

Were the Wizards this active during the offseason, and we just didn't hear about it?

Slow news day, remembering the year we got Jan Vesely, but the Bucks took Jimmer who ended up in China. Good guy though

That was good. But did you all see Eli Manning under cover at Penn State walk on tryouts? Chad Powers! Absolutely hilarious. He might now be my favorite ex athlete

Him, yes.

He goes by a new name, which I forget. He stops by occasionally.

Detroit needed shooting badly and Burks just went down with injury. The Pistons were next to bottom from 3 and need the spacing for Cade and Ivey. Good vet presence as well. Delighted with this move + as you mention, certainly a deadline value.

Saben does very well in GL but struggles in the NBA. He’ll need to improve a lot to stay in the league.

Weaver fixed his mistake with Olynyk + a roster move.
