Investing in Tesla now seems very risky. There's a lot more competition. 2024 sales were down slightly from 2023, but the 3rd and 4th quarters were strong. Hard to see a Democrat buying a Tesla, but maybe they're getting a bump from well off MAGAS.

It’s a lot more dire than you’re putting it. Check the sales in Europe and Australia. He has irreparably damaged the brand, probably forever. Turns out doing a Nazi salute and going full blown ketamine induced schizo RW mode while trying to sell electric vehicles to liberals is a bad business move.

German sales were down by a massive 76.3% last month, with Australia posting a similar 71.9% decline

I'm the Board Chair of a soup kitchen. There's a lot of uncertainty in the non-profit community now. In the first days of the administration huge cuts were threatened, but were put off for a while. It's hard to plan. There will be cuts but we don't know if the impact will be minor or devastating.
Half of our staff is funded by a federal program called Maturity Works. The purpose of the program is to get those over 55 back in the workforce. It's the kind of program Musk would love to cut. Funding is uncertain.

That's all good news. The US market is key, followed by China. It would be great if US sales dropped that much.

My personal belief is that getting rid of SS is a wet dream of uber wealthy MAGGOTs.

Depending on who you believe, his support has definitely shrunk. But that is
admittedly in the absence of a specified alternative they can propagandize against.

Many dems, especially Bernie, are drawing big ie full capacity crowds of very unhappy people.
Many Maggots are reportedly afraid to hold public events. In Wichita KS the Maggots themselves
held a pro-MAGA rally and it was reportedly overrun with anti-MAGA protesters.

Can 2026 come soon enough?

Won't matter.

ATLANTA (AP) — The Trump administration has cut millions of dollars in federal funding from two cybersecurity initiatives, including one dedicated to helping state and local election officials.

The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, known as CISA, has ended about $10 million in annual funding to the nonprofit Center for Internet Security, a CISA spokesperson said in an email Monday.

It’s the latest move by Trump administration officials to rein in the federal government’s role in election security, which has prompted concerns about an erosion of guardrails to prevent foreign meddling in U.S. elections.

CISA announced a few weeks ago that it was conducting a review of its election-related work, and more than a dozen staffers who have worked on elections were placed on administrative leave. That followed an administration move to disband an FBI task force focused on investigating foreign influence operations, including those that target U.S. elections.

“I have grave concern for state and local election officials and for the security of our elections going forward,” said Larry Norden, an election security expert at the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU’s School of Law.

I'm having a hard time envisioning Musk in jail. I love the idea though.

yes the military had no business running helicopter flights where they were and imho are responsible for the deaths that occurred. where is the common sense?

Insider trading is very much frowned upon by billionaires, generally speaking. That is one white collar crime that they take seriously, because it doesn't harm poor people, it harms them. I can see a scenario where a bunch of other billionaires quietly gang up on Musk, if he were to do such a thing and get caught somehow

Out of touch democratic leadership is too busy fawning over corporate donations, celebrity endorsements and virtue signaling.

The base hasn't changed, leadership is simply out of touch with what the country needs.

It's also quite remarkable that GOP nuts have it right in this instance - Nancy Pelosi really is the villain

You have to manually delete everything from the question mark afterwards, that's specific to you and screws up realgm's old algorithm

I mean why not just admit to your crimes, since you know you can't be prosecuted for it. Maybe we can arrest the DOGE staff that did it, they're not immune

New conservative cope is that Trump is crashing the market on purpose so we can refinance the debt at a lower rate. Honestly being a Trump pundit must be so easy. You can literally just say anything
