My eyes have been glued to Porter this entire time. He doesn't look comfortable at all.

Even that jumper he just made looked incredibly ugly. Those handles... God I hope this team hasn't killed his confidence.

Witt is going to say in the locker room after the game "I don't give a damn that we beat them. You let the fans have their free big macs."

Started well

Ended well

Everything in between made my eyes bleed.

I'm sending the Wizards the bill for anything not covered by insurance.

Well, we blew them out in the end...nice...

We're going to need Seraphin for the next game though...Also, Webster probably needed those buckets...needs more confidence. If him and Beal return to form, we could go on a real run.

Also, John Wall had 17-16 in only 29 minutes. That is awesome.

I'm torn about this. Yes, we won the game, but we managed to let Fart Maynor score 13 points. What an embarrassment. The entire team should hang their heads in shame.

Addressed by what? Trading him? He's 20 and we have no true backup shooting guard. You can play Temple more at the 2, which would be my suggestion but he's not Ray Allen offensively.

I meant it needs to be addressed by the coaches. I haven't heard Wittman EVER make a comment about Beal's slumping play. I haven't seen the Wizards media talking about it. When Wall was struggling, we would constantly hear about how he can improve or certain things being brought to his attention that would help him improve.

Beal is our starting 2-guard, you would think the coaching staff would have some sort of plan in place for his development. Not saying they don't, but I haven't heard anything about it.

I see your point but I think some guys can take getting yelled at or critique and others can't We don't know what Wit says behind closed doors at practice. I'd like to think he rests him a little more and doesn't go back to that 40+_ minute regimen. Unless he plays Tempe 10-15mpg. I think we're going to see an up-and-down Beal the rest of the year.

That's a valid point, maybe his psyche is fragile. I would buy that.

But I've never heard Beal himself take responsibility for anything. When Wall was struggling early in his career, we would always hear him say in postgame "I need to play better, I need to do a better job of ___".. I watch most of the postgame interviews on Monumental, I have NEVER heard Beal take responsibility for his play. He'll make some generic comment about the team, but never about what he specifically could have done to help the team. Either he doesn't have the self-awareness to correct himself, or he doesn't view himself as someone who needs to lead by example and set the tone with his play.

It's troubling when a guy who is a starter, and takes the second most shots on the team, doesn't express any desire to take on personal responsibility for the team's play. I understand that he's young, but Wall showed the desire to want to lead at a young age. Unfortunately Beal isn't cut from the same cloth. He'd rather just be "one of the guys" and take shots whenever he wants, that's not how it works. That's how you become JR Smith.

What improvement are you looking for exactly? Beal isn't going to develop Kyrie handles overnight. Any kind of marginal improvement you are looking for is going to come through experience.

Who said anything about Kyrie handles? I just want to see him to be more aware of his shot selection, the more egregious turnovers, etc. Let's face it, Wittman lets him do whatever he wants. That's not how you develop a player.

Gortat's career high, Ariza's career high. Who's next vs Memphis?

Maynor may be semi-decent. Wittman's track record with backup point guards doing better on other teams is growing- Mack, Crawford, Livingston, and now Maynor(then again it's only 2 games and Maynor's defense was awful).

Gasol's career high? They are going to hammer us inside. We need a big perimeter game from Beal, 3riza and Webby.

Meh, I don't see much wrong with the way Beal is playing except for the fact that he isn't making shots. Randy can't will his shots to drop more often.

Over the last 20 games, Beal has averaged 4.7 assists and 4.4 boards per 36 minutes while keeping his turnovers down to 1.6. Those are fantastic numbers for a 20-year-old shooting guard. It's pretty hard to complain about his decision-making or "egregious turnovers". Overall, his play reminds me a lot of how he was during his first few months in the NBA. He pretty much does everything right except actually make shots. I don't really think there's much the coach can do to fix it. You don't punish a guy just for missing.

My only real beef with Beal's play is that I think he's turning down open looks from 3 point range in favor of the step-in long-2.
