Hard to say what the deal might be. Ariza for Rivers would improve the team. Maybe you can keep Ariza on a low contract next year but seems unlikely...he's a mercenary.

Ok, that was big but not as big as we thought. Still have the max guys. Good for Troy Brown I guess, who should play now.

It's good for Oubre.

New title thread... “cry me a Rivers”. Austin Rivers is terrible. James Jones screwed the pooch!!

Rivers sure wore out his welcome with Ernie...because he told the truth.

Another cleanup trade with Kelly as the casualty. I don't get it. Ariza won't be here next year.

We weren't going to be able to afford to keep Oubre anyways.

Happy for Kelly. We can only develop top 3 draft picks. So we let Ariza go, then trade our former 1st round pick to get him back.

Can’t afford him because we have to pay Ian.

Exactly.

Happy for Oubre though. He’s got flaws but his talent is undeniable. Gasol and Conley will straighten him out.

What the hell? We gave away Oubre for that? A 33 year old Ariza and future 2nds?

Wizards forsure get better by simply getting rid of 2 bad players. Such a weird trade

I think with Oubre having a good stretch of games recently they felt like they needed to trade him before or in case he slumps again.

You get leadership, a better player than Oubre and Rivers, a couple picks. I guess it isn’t that bad. Just a bizarre season. Oubre had so much talent but ran out of time to put it together
