It's really great to see Bobby Portis playing so well.

Solomon Hill doesn't have "stats", but he's a good crafty vet. I'd sign him for the vet min if he'd be interested.

He's the reason LeBron missed so much time this season.

I've been loving these NBA playoffs, but it's tough to see so many stars go down with injuries (Kawhi esp.). Again tonight, Trae Young twists his ankle when stepping an official's foot, who was in the right position. They were never the same, though give Middleton credit. He was fantastic and the Hawks got nothing from Huerter and Bojanovic in the fourth quarter.

The playoffs have been great. And a MIL-PHO Finals would be intriguing although we're probably
not quite there yet although obviously close in the case of PHO.
MIL is so much better when Giannis refrains from shooting 3s and focuses on attacking the rim.

I'll be brutally honest - I think he was more exhausted than injured. He never even reached for his ankle when he supposedly twisted it. And he was barely limping at all - though he was sure to grimace a lot. And he played through it; if he was really injured, they should have had Lou Williams run the offense. I'm not going to say he was soft but... yeah, he was soft.

Nope. He was injured.

How could he have gotten a bone bruise from stepping on the official's foot?

He was hurt. I don't get your whole point of trying to say he was soft. The guy couldn't move laterally. He was already wearing braces on his ankles. It's possible when he stepped on the ref's foot that he turned in an awkward fashion and the foot hit the floor. Or there was another play in the game where he foot on his foot and that just exacerbated it. Either way, he was injured.

And unless he is an remarkably quick healer, any chance ATL has is likely diminished,
probably a lot. This message brought to you by Capt Obvious.

I mean... he's listed as questionable - it's not a major injury.

Because the first thing he does is lay into the official - which was absurd. And he's got that whiney-arse ***** expression on his face the whole time. After that, on an in-bounds play, he takes the ball from the official and whines at him rather than looking to throw the ball in and throws it away - seemingly intentionally to show that he's angry.

Funny that he wasn’t good enough to the Wizards for them to want to retain him, yet Bucks fans love him on a much better team.
How is that the case? Why?
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

It definitely helps to play next to Giannis - who attracts constant doubles and the better defenders - and also looks to set up teammates. And I think they've simplified his role - he's always got the green light to shoot - don't worry about passing. When he's out on the perimeter, the defense's prime focus is Middleton (also a good passer), and that also helps get him open 3's - which he's very good at making.

Re: NBA Games Discussion Thread - Part 5
I think Wiz fans were emotionally invested in Porter, so they were not immediately on board
with the Portis love. I'm neutral on the issue myself.
Watching the WCF last night, early in the game I kept thinking PG needs to stop
shooting 3s. He couldn't hit one. So he did. And then later, in the complete flow of
the offense, all of a sudden he found his stroke. Amazing (2pt) shooting by Clips last
night. These playoffs remain very interesting. Too bad we can't afford Reggie Jackson.
He's got swag/game. If you had asked who will make the most 3s in this years playoffs,
I'm not sure how many people would have picked him. I really like both coaches and Nate
McM too. Buds, meh. He could end up with the ring though.

Oh, I see. You're a Bucks' fan, so you're just biased. I can't give a rat's ass about either team.
