I didn't see this quote posted above, now it makes sense about our confusion with Widdie's lack of scoring, WUJ didn't want him to and I believe him.

Of course, he's implying there that he only agreed to the so-called role change because he's got a big 3 year contract. What an unselfish team guy he is, and it showed in his great joyful attitude we got to see in his time here.

So why did they ask him to pass more and shoot less?

What he's doing now is making shots instead of missing them. As hot as he's been, he's only average 0.9 more shot attempts per 36 minutes with Dallas than he did here, but he's making .447 of his 3's there vs .310 here and .614 of his 2's there vs .432 here. His percentages there might not continue.

Dinwiddie being limited by his coaches and his teammates is most bull of bull takes I've seen around here.

I'd be embarrassed blaming my former teammates and coaches for my **** play if I were Dinwiddie.

Bertans 0-6 :) and Dinwiddie 3-8 and a lackluster game (+/- of -19) in a 30-point blowout, AT HOME, against the Knicks. Team scored only 77.

This is working-out great for Dallas, 8-2 over their last 10, Dinwiddie will be a great asset for them during the playoffs.

Dinwiddie's not the only one doing better post-Wiz.

Even Aaron Holiday is playing more minutes (17.2mpg) for the NBA-best Suns than he did for the Wizards (16.2)!

And of course Harrell is doing just fine for Charlotte.

Might be a good idea to stop bashing Spencer Dinwiddie. What's the point?

A little schadenfreude to get you through the day:

Davis Bertans for any trash you have, literally any.....

I dont think I've disliked a Mav this much since Wes Matthews. But at least the latter was a decent defender and really tried on that end. Bertans just goes 0 for whatever without providing much of anything else. I have a big pet peeve for guys who just happen to have their career season the year they're due a new contract.

Is there an equally garbage contract a team has that can be swapped out for Bertans? I'd say anything but a PG since Dallas has Luka, Dinwiddie, and Brunson (if he resigns)

I was struck by comment at some point by PIF that Porzingis was a bad player.
Hadn't seen him enough and didn't really understand his what his game was.
So I didn't understand what PIF's comment was based on.

I get it now, I think. I'm probably not saying anything particularly revelatory
but it comes down to his shot selection which at times ie too often, more
resembles that of a SG/SF than a 7-3 C. On the one hand, and I'm saying this
based on the eye test mostly, he shoots those shots at a fairly decent percentage
but the problem is he's a 5 and a first option offensive player, or thinks he is.
He's not that efficient at what is his bread and butter. One wonders how much
his choice of shots can be improved upon. What am I missing here if anything?

The guy is posting 28 points per 36 on a TS% of .600, with virtually no turnovers. I couldn't be happier with his production.
