Oh don't get me wrong - I have absolutely no problem with a vote for Jamison. He and Haywood are/were 1.A and 1.B tonight. It just seemed as if you were saying Jamison deserved it much more, but Haywood would easily win (only one of which being true, in my opinion).
Yeah, 1A and 1B. I don't care which one is 1A as long as it's not Haywood. Just kidding.
Anyway, great win for the Wiz.

Haywood did a nice job on both ends, but let's not make him out to be Bill Russell. Hedo got a lot of open looks for a reason. The Wiz doubled down early or played zone and often got a steal and others got burned for an open three because they were so concerned about Howard. The defense, other than the 1st quarter, was spectacular. It's the offense that's a concern, especially when you have Daniels and Butler on the floor with bad wrists and at times it seemed like we were playing 3 on 5 and Haywood was the number 2 option (or Stevenson).

He's also quick and he can fly ... like Superman. And also look better than the rest of us in the superman suit. And ...HeyIt'sMe wrote:Well, Dwight leads the league in FTAs, but you're right, he really doesn't get a lot of calls. He just gets so many attempts because he's damn strong.
I think it is what it is. He's real young. Not a cagey vet. Not great at FT shooting to really WANT to get calls when he's fouled. Too big to sell a flop well ... I think.
So, Dwight doesn't figure to get a lot of calls unless it's playing to his strength of just athletically overwhelming opponents.

I am so glad orlando is doing well. I love Dwight and I was a big Hedo fan when he was playing for Sacto -- knew he was going to be good. Awesome that they are playing so well.
Help us, Obi-wan Leonsis. You're our only hope.

You wouldn't think that if you knew what our record is in Orlando.mattyBoi wrote:You know your good when a team that beats you by 1 gets this happy

We just got smoked at home by Atlanta. To when this game on the road against a 1st place team is shocking to everyone. Don't act like Orlando is on Detroit or Boston's level though. Let me know when then win a playoff series.

Exactly. The Wiz played far from perfect in this game but still came up on top. Their 3-pt defense was about the worst it has been all season. The offense in the first half was completely out of sync.
Other than allowing an insane amount of threes the defense was excellent though. Haywood was a dominant force in the middle and even hit some jumpers on offense.

too often, no one.
DMac did a good job on him in very limited minutes. With T'glue
being their main source of offense, I was almost, no I was wishing
that EJ would just leave DMac in to guard him the rest of the game.
I doubt he would have had nearly the game he ended up with.
Butler was being abused. And he wasn't getting help in the 2 man
game. The second player was staying back.

You didn't get to see this I guess but DMac did briefly matchup
on Tglue. It was definitely T'glue's worst stretch of the game.
By far.
