3 losses in the Conference already. That will make winning a wildcard spot difficult.

We had 3 turnovers and a missed field goal and lost by a point. We are clearly much better than they are. Hard loss to swallow.

They need their full compliment of players. No Terry or Brown allowed the Bears to crowd the line and they dared the offense to beat them deep. Without Terry, there's no deep threat out there.

Re: The Washington Commanders Thread Pt. 2
Jayden's pick and that last fumble killed us. I hate that fumble on fourth and one because we never run a tush push or take a snap from under center. Why have Jayden in the gun lined up three yards behind the line of scrimmage receiving a slippery snap that he fumbled? That fumble was inexcusable. Daniels had another ball slip out of his grasp and bounce to him that cost him running yards. Daniels beat Chicago last season with the throw to scary Terry. He gave Chicago the win yesterday.tontoz wrote:We had 3 turnovers and a missed field goal and lost by a point. We are clearly much better than they are. Hard loss to swallow.
Speaking of Terry, I did not like his holdout.
It was a bad karma harbinger. He got his but at the expense of the team. HOLDING OUT SO LONG was not good. I said when he signed and came in late that he might be oft-injured the duration of his deal. Deebo Samuel did well to start the season, but he's already nicked up, and he's not the deep ball threat Terry is.

I'm not terribly concerned. We've taken a step back from last year but not so much that I think going on a strong run is out of the question. For year 2 post Ron Rivera we're in a nice spot. Would be disappointed to miss the playoffs, but my primary focus is on Daniels' improvement. A strong regression from him and we're in a bad spot.

Jinx for the Jayden fumble was in, broadcast displayed that Jayden had not lost a fumble up to that point.

I wonder if we should have just drafted Cooper Dejean last year rather than trading down.

Terry was clearly a mistake. I would have rather traded for a guy like quinten Johnston or Palmer or several guys than having the predictably dead corpse if Terry laying around.

I'm worried about what happened to the Bengals, where Burrows looked good at first but is too angry to be a good leader. Things fell apart for the team after a few public blowups.
I don't get that vibe from Jayden but last season may have just been super lucky, and reality may be setting in now

That lost sucked HOWEVER KC, Philly and the Bills, all very good teams have had some crappy losses. I think the offense will improve, not sure about the defense so we will need a ton of offensive improvement. Terry coming back will help and I swear I think McCaffrey could turn into a solid WR, in addition to being a very good return man.

At least Lattimore is playing a bit better 3 targets allowed for 1 reception for 13 yards. It might be a result of the Bears utilizing mismatches and taking advantage of the linebackers in coverage, especially Wagner.

This can't be emphasized enough.
Some people don't understand Terry's importance to this offense.

True. Still, looks like that solution would make the Commanders in the same spot with them losing to the Bears. Hopefully Terry can come back healthy. I believe they are 2-1 with Terry and that 1 loss came on a short wee. And now they are 1-2 without him. If McClaurin can get back to the level he was, then the Commanders offense becomes more dangerous.
