He's officially injury prone in my book. Two injury stints in 2013, five injury stints in 2012. How does he get injured so much? All he shoots is 18-footers? He's not even taking it to the basket. When/if he returns this season I'm showcasing him, feeding him for open shots for a 10 game stretch to boost his value and I'm selling high on him.

It's taken all of a season and a quarter but it's clear as day the Wiz missed on this pick. Drummond was the guy and you know what makes me sick? I remember during the draft evaluation process one of the team scouts was overheard stating something along the lines of, "I can't believe I came back for this. It was the worst workout I've ever seen."

The worst thing about all that is that around draft time that yr, Ernie had an interview w/ Mike Wise, and Mike asked Ernie about how important draft workouts were, and Ernie said they aren't that important in the grand scheme of things and brought up how terrible Tim Duncan was in SL his rookie yr.

And there was another workout (I think it was w/ the Bobcats) where Drummond and Thomas Robinson went H2H, and all reports came back saying T-Rob got the better of him, but what most people failed to bring up was that Robinson was a full two yrs older than Drummond, and it's obvious who's playing better now.

He's had some injuries, but not sure how you can avoid knee on knee contact? It happens.. I chalk that up to bad (Wiz) luck.. Hell, EG could draft Lebron **** James and he'd look like a bust in DC.. Just have to have faith it works out.. What else can ya do as long as the Ted & Ernie show is in town?

how can you conclude that about a 19yo who won back to back rookie of the month awards last year, was maybe the best player in the whole league in the Preseason, and is still averaging nearly 20 if not great FG%.

Everything you said about him is true but is it truly impossible to see him starting to drive more or taking better shots? You do dumb things when you are younger. Its a learning process. Just a month ago everyone was screaming he was an All Star. Now this?

Some people have no patience or no clue or both. Imagine if he had a 20-year old Ray Allen and all he did was shoot jumper. He was not exactly known to drive to the basket even in his younger days. If you are Brad Beal, soft as tissue paper as some say, would you try to become Dwayne Wade or Ray Allen?

"Wizards Brad Beal suffered a bruised left knee, source told ESPN. Chance he may even play tonight."

Jeff Goodman reports he might play tonight. Talk about a rollercoaster of emotions. :o

I don't think Beal is soft--he's a muscular kid. We just mishandled his stress injury so he looks more fragile than he is--the bone bruise seems to be a nothing thing.

I'd actually like to see Brad go to the hole more--the kid is strong as hell and should be able to finish through contact pretty comfortably.

Ha, turns out I was right. Just looked like a knee bruise to me. Knee bruises can be very painful, so I can understand him unable to get up last night. I doubt he plays tonight, but he shouldn't be out too long if that's all it is.

It would be absolutely insane to try to push him out there when he could barely walk on it yesterday. I wish someone would think about the kid's career instead of worrying about the next game. But when your all-in for the 8th seed, I guess common sense is already out the window.

Who knows about knee injuries. Paul Pierce bounced back from that knee injury in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Mp5V26En3s

Currently, beal is scoring 19 per game and shooting .471 from 3 on 5.7 attempts per game. I will take that every year please.
