Just looking at the replay of David Lee putting the Sprewell to Wall's neck on NBA TV. Even Lee recoils in horror at his own actions. "Geez! I didn't mean to..." Don't see how the refs missed that one.
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

Just focus on the positive for tonight. We played our C game and still knocked off the Warriors in Oracle. But yes Gortat is a bonehead and Wall fell in love with his jumper.

I feel the same way.. kinda "whatever" about this win.. Golden State played terrible honestly, this is probably one of the worst games of the year for them.

Good for John to gain some confidence though, I think that was technically his first game winner?

It's gone past the point of novelty with Nene. He is legitimately snake bit when it comes to the officiating. Or they actively have it out for him. It happens every single game.

Maybe if he didn't bitch about every call, the refs would give him more respect.

Lots of players bitch to the officials. You really want to excuse the refs on this? Maybe they should do their jobs.

I can only imagine how frustrating it must be for Nene to get fouled on one end then make a good defensive play, maybe get an iota of contact on Lee and be called for the foul.

Stuff like that happens way too often for him. It's just brutally poor officiating.

I don't know what was more agonizing tonight, this game or studying embryology. If they actually win tomorrow I might have to consider bustin a nut in a Clipper's fan face...but those are hard to find here in Barbados.

Not a great game by both teams, but a great win against a really talented team. I just never want to see Maynor on the court again.

Larry Sanders would do wonders for this team.

I'll take the win - even though this was an ugly game. It was a case of which team would miss more shots down the stretch. All of GS's shooters were cold, and the Wiz controlled the boards. Still, they barely escape with the win. But hey, a win against GS on the road... that's good even if it was a case of GS losing it more than Washington winning it.

Yay we are slightly above mediocre for 24 hrs. I should be happy but too many things pissed me of this game. All of which started with Fart.

Beal's TOs tonight were alarming but he played a fairly sound game. 20-7-4. Still shouldn't have him being a primary ball handler yet but good to see him play a complete game.

Wow, he's definitely not a guy I'd want taking a shot down the stretch.

Trust me. Embryology is worse.

Look at what Warriors fans are saying about Klay Thompson.. sounds a lot like someone we know:

Klay should be the 3rd scoring option at best. Guy is streaky as hell

I think Klay missing wide open and early clock shots should count as turnovers.

Kuya wrote:
Loss Is On Klay, he's made like 9 of his last 40 shots

He's just not a good shooter. He'll give you one really good shooting night and 5 straight bad ones. I don't get why people think he's such a great shooter. He should come off the bench and Barnes should start.

Agree totally. Klay teases you with one lights out night....and then just flat out stinks for several games!

He's not a natural instinctive player either....poor handle for a shooting guard.

I'm just tired of these guys chucking.....when they should driving to get contact and get to the line. If Klay is off...which he is often...he has no answer to scoring from the line.

Can't wait to hear Jackson say "we had good looks" lol

He has a pretty 3-point percentage at .40 but it comes in such erratic streaks with prolonged cold spells where he's actually crap for most games that it's practically not a "real" .40. I'll take someone who gives me consistency every game.

Oddly, Curry's 3-point percentage is (was?) lower than Klay's but I just don't get the same feeling from him, probably because he's way more consistent and he has the driving game now and shoots at close to 50% from 2.

Unfortunately Iggy's in a cold spell, too.

If we can win in LA and start this 5 game stretch off 2 - 0, we're playing with house money in the other three IMO. I thought 2-3 in the stretch would be pretty positive. 3-2 would be terrific. 1-4 is still the most likely though.

That said, Portland has really cooled off the past 10 games or so. OKC and SA probably kick our butts. But that Portland game might be a fair chance to get that second win.

Winning in LA puts us at 1 over .500 at the end of month #3. That's a good place to be moving forward because the schedule gets easier. February is home heavy (although this isn't as positive as I once thought...) and most of our tough Western Conference games and 3/4 road games against Indy and Miami will be behind us.

We worked pretty hard to choke that game away too. Turnovers and giving up offensive boards in the clutch. Ugh. Gortat missing a bunny from three feet. Really bad offensive possessions in general.

The clock ran out on GS, but we definitely didn't give them our best shot either.

"Good shot, John. I'm they're going to leave you open, shoot it!"...is what I imagine him saying during the timeout

Yet no one has the urge to ask themselves...WHY is he always open for the long two? Maybe because it's part of a smart gameplan? Nah, couldn't be.

Wittman is probably thinking these are terrible shot like we do especially since they are coming early in the shot clock with no else touching the ball. It's not like Wittman can bench Wall and sometimes Wall can get away with just taking terrible shots.
