So how come Beal could play given his vaccine status?

Building team morale that can carry into the season is my guess.

Why? They were a good team last year. I'm not playing Dinwiddie this late coming off a knee injury to build our morale.

To each their own. I know folks say pre-season doesn’t matter but I think there are situations where it does matter. And I believe starting off on the right foot is a generally good thing. We are winless and I think our team morale probably isn’t where we’d like it to be going into the season.

Doesn't apply to road teams. New York has no jurisdiction over any other state

Blew a 19 point lead 8-)

Thibs playing some of his starters late in the last preseason game to come back from 19 points is

Never saw him get hurt. Maybe they were just making it up or he just had it flare up. Probably being overly cautious.

Thanks

Again, I'm not happy with blowing a 19-point lead, but we had Kispert, Deni, Holiday and a tired Gafford against most of the best Knicks' players. They were flying around on D, going for the win. Wes is still trying to find combinations. There's no reason to throw Kuzma, Dinwiddie, KCP, and Harell (maybe if he plays down the stretch instead of Gafford we win) out there late in a game just to win. It would utterly stupid after losing Beal. A lot of young guys out there. Even Gafford is just 23, Deni 21, Kispert 22. They got a learning experience against guys that know how to win like Rose and Randle.

Also shows we could Rui and Bryant. I do like that we have more 3-point shooters and we don't need Bertans jacking up 27 foot 3s with a guy in his face. Though it would be nice if Bertans could hit a shot or 2.

On a positive note, we also played much better than we did in that first Knicks game. Neto was fantastic and Holiday proved he can push the ball. That's with Beal playing 9 minutes and Randle playing 34 after not playing in that first game.

Of course, the only story of this game and the thing that matters would be if Beal is really injured and will miss time.

Knicks fan coming in peace kispert is gonna be nice. GG guys. Also what’s up with this Neto dude? He look like a superstar out there.

But hey it’s only pre-season thibs is a little crazy but you gotta realize we got rose and Kemba so he gotta play one of them why not play the hot hand and build steam going into the season opener.

Anyways I’m happy you guys got a good rook. Good luck guys see you in the season.

Also Bradley Beal is a animal. So much offensive talent and weapons and tools in his arsenal

I guess Randle had to play 34 minutes as well. :D But Knicks have a nice team. Neto is not a superstar. Pretty sure he scored about half those points on Walker. That's a concern. Kemba's defense. Our only concern right now is Beal's knee.

I’m absolutely done with Bertans. Will he have a random game when he can’t freaking miss? Yup, but he just can’t shoot consistently. It’s Juan Dixon syndrome. Great when his shots are going down, unplayable when they’re not. So glad he fooled us with a fluke season.

I really wanted us to win this game. We are at the close of of preseason, having won none of the games. In order to get the team on good footing, it would have been nice to get the win.
We have a lot of young players and they will have a lot of learning to do as the season progresses. The 4th quarter showed just how "green" these players are. This is one reason why I wised we played another 4 games of preseason, so that the team can gel some more and the young players can get used to the NBA.

Bertans led the team in on/off differential last year.
