This can't be emphasized enough.

Some people don't understand Terry's importance to this offense.
Terry held out.

Terry got injured.

I can't emphasize that enough.

Too much information here on the injury.

Commanders defense casually just gave up 75 yards in 3 plays :banghead:

The season could go down the toilet fast if we lose this game. We sucked on both ends in the first half.

I'll never begrudge an athlete for trying to get as much as possible. :)
WP, I agree!

Don't hate the player. Hate the game. He leveraged his performance over time and his peak year with Jayden Daniels into the deal he thought he deserved.

The Commanders messed up. I would have let him hold out unpaid all season.

He was under contract.

Daniels hurt AGAIN. This season feels over already. One awesome season and crumpled like Bobby 3 sticks.

Although there isn't much correlation between the Rivera Era and the AP era, one thing is similar. Both their tenures started with a rebuild, and quickly ramped up after going to the playoffs in the first season. In both instances, those first seasons were fool's gold. Last year, several games were won on the final drive, or the other team could have won. The trade for Lattimore and Tunsil will bite them in the butt as they gave up picks, which would help with the rebuild. They also invested too heavily in old vets due to this ramp-up. Players like Sinnot, Coleman, McCafferey, McGee, etc, should have received much more playing time by now. Still, leadership wants to win now, and now we will probably have to start from ground zero again, or close to ground zero again, next year.

I also want to mention that I foresee a lot more years like this for JD 5, where he misses several games. I know taking measurements of the width from one shoulder to the other isn't a thing, but I swear the dude is super narrow (and thin). He is going to take a lot of punishment in the coming years.

Starting over is a stretch. 3 of our rookies this year are full time starters. Lane is return guy and backup receiver.

I agree though that last year's success was fools gold and made them think they were better than they actually were, leading to short term win now moves. It isn't hard to pivot from that in the NFL because the contracts are short term and not guaranteed completely.

We have our QB, a good O-line and pretty good running backs. That isn't a bad starting point.

Great post. This season is essentially over. So, we gotta play our young guys … Sinnott, Magee, Medrano, Coleman. Trade for whatever picks we can get at the deadline. Wags, Deebo, Payne, Lattimore, even Mariotta. We have our QB and some nice young pieces - just not enough of them. We need two more good drafts and at least two more picks this year.

I’m not sure where you play Coleman. Paul, at least according to Steve Suder, on the Kevin Sheehan podcast, says Paul the best offensive lineman. He’s a former player and appears to know his stuff. Coleman not playing over cosmi.

Coleman could be trade bait.

Coleman is on a rookie contract, and his value is probably like a 6th-round pick. He is worth more as backup on this team. I am sure he will be playing soon since our O-Line always seems to have injuries.
