They give me heart problems, but I love em' anyway.

NOOOOOOOOOO.....NOOOOOT POSSSIBBLEEEE, NOOOOT POOOOSIIIBLE..

Washington was much more hungrier than Toronto. I'm pretty much fed up at people like Songaila [deciding to help his Euro buddies in crunch time though], Nick Young, and Roger Mason lighting us up every game. Role players are supposed to play bad away form home, but all of them seem to like the ACC.

I didn't know whether I should have laughed or cried in the last 30 seconds.

Yep, just as much as AJ helped us in the end he hurt us in the beginning. I mean he was just destroying us early on. Thankfully we won and he did some things well at the end.

We're usually good for 2-3 wins a year against Toronto.

Spence wrote:Miller, nobody is immune from criticism. The point is that criticism ought to be balanced with a fair appreciation of the things AJ does right. Very few people on this board do that. And you're not one of them.

You think 10 posts attacking AJ and 1 post [grudgingly] crediting him for what he's done is fair. That's fine for you, I suppose, but if I wrote about Brendan Haywood, for example, the way you write about Antawn Jamison, I'd feel pretty silly.

That's ridiculous. AJ did as much to damage the Bullets tonight as help them? What game are you people watching? Even when he was missing shots he was dominating the glass.

This is what I'm talking about. Scores 25 points. Controls the boards. Hits clutch shots in overtime.

But he hurts the team as much as he helps them.

This isn't about intellect, it's about pride. You guys are not this stupid. You're just not big enough to admit that Jamison is a better player than you've given him credit for the last few years.

Jeebus, I came around about Haywood, particularly this season. Grow up and admit the obvious. The fact that there is a whole bunch of you don't make you look any less preposterous.

Read the board. You're a mod, aren't you? Seems like you should be at least marginally aware of what is posted on this board, particularly since you're a part of much of it.

Yeah, don't hold your breath on that one. The Bullets might win 4 of the next 5, but after that things get tougher. And we'll have to do it without Gil or Caron. Right now, holding on to the 6th seed is about all we can hope for.

No, you haven't got it, but you *are* full of it. Do I have to tell you the sun rises in the East? Just wake up early and look out your window. I'd tell you to just read the posts, but we both know you've already read them. Heck, you've written some of them. Everyone familiar with this board knows I'm correct, including you. You're just too small to admit it.

Buddy, we really could continue this. Bickering. Accusing. Name-calling. But it's not going to do much good. I guess someone has to be the bigger man.

Wake me up when AJ helps this team in the playoffs. All I remmember is him giving up the easiest baseline drive in the history of basketball to LeBron in the playoffs.

Miller, it seems like the bigger man would be big enough to admit the obvious, but I agree this has gone on long enough. I'm too happy with the win to permit complaining about the Captain to bring me down.

Go, Bullets.

Oh, you don't remember 32 and 10 last year in the playoffs? Without Gil and Caron?

+1

I'm one of the crew that would have been happy if we'd traded AJ at the deadline for someone like Gasol.

But I have GOT to hand it to him for the way he played last year in the playoffs. He did everything he could to keep us in it against the team that went to the Finals.

Yeah--I don't really get all the AJ bashing either.

He's putting up KG-type numbers. He's more decorated than either Gilbert or Caron. LTIL, he still has a slot on the national team if he wants it, but he turned it down to work on his club responsibilities, with very apparent results. 2x all-star. National team. 6th MotY. Longest games played streak. Very high draft pick who has actually exceeded expectations. And having a career year at age 97. Who'd have thunk it? These things are beyond dispute.

Then there's the stuff that's sorta subjective (but not really) like leadership, lockerroom glue, and turning the team around and all that, but every professional who follows the team sings his praises up and down.

Can he do better on a given night or in this case, a given quarter? Definitely. Same can be said of any player, even MJ back in the day. But to cross your fingers when you say that he sorta helped win the game tonight is just silly. He won the game as he has many others so far. He's a stud. End of discussion, all done.

Is the salary high? Of course, but we inherited that from Golden State.

Chill out on the guy. He's earning that paycheck right now because is essentially IS the team. And he's doing it with uncommon grace.

Big hand for AJ.

The schedulling Gods have done us a favor. AJ always shows up against the Bobcats. The Angel will crash through his ceiling while he sleeps and give him a huge gatorade. Or something.

Great game, Song and Mason were on fire. I always love when we beat the soft Raptors.

I'm in Dallas for a convention. Didn't see this game or the last but it's good to see the Wizards bounce back and win at Toronto after losing big to Orlando.

The big picture is what Jamison knows, and that's the importance of at least holding on to 6th place. The Wizards are doing just that, even though Philly's coming on strong.

I saw on ESPN that the Sixers have a bit tougher record that last 20 or so games. They might cool off.

So too might the Raptors. They have a tough schedule the next 10 or so games. IMO much tougher than the Wizards' schedule over the same time frame.

If the Wizards keep playing .500 or better ball this next 10 games they'll not only keep 6th, but they could move up to 5th (but that would be starting playoffs on the road against Cleveland.)
