Such a small price to pay...

In 2020 (the most recent year with available data from the CDC), firearms were the number one cause of death for children ages 1-19 in the United States, taking the lives of 4,357 children. With the exception of Canada, in no other peer country were firearms among the top five leading causes of childhood deaths.

This is the Wizboard politics thread. The only people who got banned in this thread are those who were spamming the board, preventing conversation. You are safe here. This is a free speech protected zone and community standards in this thread are to allow a fair amount of back and forth unless you are directly attacking another board member's personal character as opposed to their opinions, or denying them the right to speak.
So says the people's moderator.
But if you really want to cut loose:
Fire away..

But I want these people to *die,* that's what I'm worried about. This is so far beyond the boundaries of decent human behavior. Maybe I'll take a little break.

Thank god radical right wing conservatives are so arrogant that they are not afraid to enrage their opponents. Because that didn't cause them any problems in 2020.

Don’t call another board member a Nazi (I guess if there was a self-identified Nazi on the board it would be OK)
but there’s no reason to ignore actual history when discussing actual current events. Analogies may vary.

Remember years ago that McCain supporter who claimed a black man had carved “OBAMA” into her face. Cops got suspicious BECAUSE THE LETTERS WERE BACKWARDS!!!!
I feel like we’ve been using “You can’t make this **** up” a lot lately.

It was just the letter B, thankfully. The "Blacks Rule" guy was the best though.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Re: Political Roundtable Part XXXI
Giving Republicans 110% of the benefit of the doubt that they didn't intend for 10 year olds to have to bear their rapists' babies to term, well, that's what you get for winning - no more ranting and raving from the sidelines, where you can lie with impunity with no consequences for your actions. Welcome to reality. You are fully accountable for this mess that you created. You own this. That includes all the so called "not evil" people who supported Republicans for the last forty years in their efforts to overturn Roe.
You broke it, you bought it. No crying about how people are misinterpreting your deliberately vague legislation now. You want to not be accused of nasty things? Don't leave any doubt as to what your intentions are in your "well intentioned" but in reality evil, evil legislation. We're doing you a favor by not assuming you're evil - that would in fact be the simplest assumption. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are extraordinarily ignorant and incompetent. Get your crap together. NOW. That includes reigning in the lunatics in Ohio and Texas and Louisiana and Indiana and fricking everywhere. Whatever happened to the party that I hated but at least admired for their discipline? Gone. The inmates are running the asylum now. Pathetic.

I mean, it's easy enough for Republicans to say "this person is crazy and does not represent our views." Democrats do it all the time. I'm apparently one of the crazy ones.
