ground sloth: megatherium americanum. huge american beast.
hoopalotta is the bastard child of me and ed wood, that's what I think.
now I need a new style. ditch the outrageous similes. huck the hyperbole.
...wondering when/how I may have knocked up ed wood...
-- how the hell did that happen?...
JaVale seriously needs one repeatable move underneath. He's catching the ball too far outside the paint much of the time. Nice to see the adjustment from the last game, he shot fewer long range shots, played in the paint, smothered Blake defensively. Played within his role.
The first half was mostly garbage on the video feed, often saying they were having weather realted problems on the broadcast. The site says they're re-coding, maybe the first half will be available on the re-broadcast.
CCJ, it's not too late to pay your ten bucks and watch the game archives. I personally have no complaints on the value for dollar, for whatever reason these games are far more compelling to me than regular season contests between middling teams. Even when the quality of play is lacking there's a freshness, a raw desperation and hustle in guys trying to make a team, any team. I feel like I got all my money's worth on the Wiz games alone.
Plus there was even a rumor that Gil might play tomorrow.

The Wizards could only play 4 of their 5 vets which include Young, Blatche, McGuire, McGee, and Crittenton. I

Unfortunately, I cannot speak to my lineage so as to stitch together any wayward escapades with this Mr.Wood. My first coherent memory was of being found on the doorstep of a Pizza Hut in Calcutta with two bullet holes in my back. The staff there was able to dislodge them using vegetable tongs, but as they were unwashed, an infection ensued from palak paneer residue. The complications of that have me now living in a plastic bubble, much like Travolta in that movie; you know, the one where he was a boy living in a bubble made from plastic. What was it? Well, I can't remember the name.
But I certainly wouldn't want to steal a long time members shtick and deprive the board of hyperbole. So I could try and go in a different direction. Maybe something in a Medieval cleric of Germanic extraction?
So I'll try again:
"Let us remember of Javale that he is only a man, like all others. Nigh shall he be weighed before the gates beyond on account of his bombastic in-your-face throwdowns. It is in accordance with his abiding the good playbook and the word of Flip that he shall be praised or reviled."
Ok, I think I found my voice now. We can carry on.

Well, he better enjoy it. He isn't likley to get the better of Blake much throughout his career. The play-by-play report indicated 12 of McGee's 19 points came on alley-oops.Wow. I'm glad his offensive game is developing so rapidly. What is that? His go-to move in the halfcourt. Hey, as long as he is athletic and can make YouTube videoes of him doing Transformers' voices I'm sure you guys will still keep claiming he is going to be a great one.
Exactly.
Now, if that is what he is good for, that doesn't suck as long as he realizes it and doesn't try to do more then he can. Those kind of plays can get the crowd involved at home which is great. But until he learns to get his footwork and position down on D, he is only a flashy player with upside good for a few minutes in reg season.
Until he proves he can get his fundamentals down, he should be instructed to rebound, block shots, try to get position, and wait for the alley op. Basically, Tyson Chandler without the crappy personality.
But people should realize, he isn't going to be worth much in the playoffs as he is, so who we get to back up Haywood is really important.
McGee is still a few years away from being an NBA quality player meaning ( balanced and reliable )

He's balling, but he's still a bit out of control in his drives. Would love to see more consistency on his touch around the basket when he's not dunking the ball.

McGee with a quiet 24 points in the first half today.
Granted, we're talking about the Knicks here. They don't really have much to offer inside.

Pam McGee is fun. Can we stick her at the table with Phil and Buck? Great talker, unabashed homer, great team cheerleader, with solid analysis.

Dude, are you kidding me, they have Tskitishvili patroling the pivot. He's a former highly touted lotto pick.

Re: Wizard's Summer League (Las Vegas) (7/14)
Have we ever finished SL with a winning record??
Summer League Grades....for the only players that mattered.
Young: A-
Blatche: B+
McGee: B+
McGuire: D
Sorry Critt, me thinks you will be traded...but a solid A for you.

The Knicks lost all of their SL games, how bad were they, who did they have on McGee?
I hope to see the game on some kind of replay.
