It just "feels like" we have two very evil parties at this time. Well, evil and incompetent.

It has to be driving the Republican establishment nuts.

Not in this case. It matters what an unreasonable person would think he means because reasonable people don't shoot presidential candidates in this country (yet).

Anyone else see Trump as the second coming of Huey Long?

I don't recall a media conniption when Hillary advocated for the assassination of Obama:

the New York Times wrote:BRANDON, S.D. — Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton defended staying in the Democratic nominating contest on Friday by pointing out that her husband had not wrapped up the nomination until June 1992, adding, “We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California.”

Her remarks were met with quick criticism from the campaign of Senator Barack Obama, and within hours of making them Mrs. Clinton expressed regret, saying, “The Kennedys have been much on my mind the last days because of Senator Kennedy,” referring to the recent diagnosis of Senator Edward M. Kennedy’s brain tumor. She added, “And I regret that if my referencing that moment of trauma for our entire nation and in particular the Kennedy family was in any way offensive.”

Still, the comments touched on one of the most sensitive aspects of the current presidential campaign — concern for Mr. Obama’s safety. And they come as Democrats have been talking increasingly of an Obama/Clinton ticket, with friends of the Clintons saying that Bill Clinton is musing about the possibility that the vice presidency might be his wife’s best path to the presidency if she loses the nomination.

“My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right?” she said. “We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California.”

Hillary's statement is far more passive then Trump's. But please, go on and spin this as best you can to befit your mancrush on this monstrosity of clementine. :noway:

Also, Anonymous leaked Clinton's medical records a few hours ago.

Worsening seizures and dementia as of 2014. The doctor's office checks out. Is this real? Who knows.....but hackers declaring victory today on many boards.

But the doctor checks out she's already given press statements in the past....we will see. If the media actually chooses to acknowledge the Seth Rich stuff (and Assange all but confirming Rich was the source) along with dementia/seizures, and promises of incoming new leaks. Ouch.

This is already the most painful election ever. I really don't want to watch sociopath Trump attack Clinton over dementia in a debate.

I just want fair treatment from the media. Trump has said some outrageous things that deserve condemnation. This was not one of them. If Trump's statement was meant to encourage assassination, then Clinton's sure as hell was too. Clinton actually named an example of a nominee who got assassinated as a reason for her to stay in the race!

The double standard here is mind blowing.

I've seen a few tweets discrediting this... something about the letterhead format (so it is probably forged?)...

But people will want to believe w/e they want in order to bolster their agenda. Meh.

It's really impossible to tell at this point. Having either of these dishonest people controlling the military is petrifying.

What Hilary said back then was not OK. Was it as bad as what Trump said? Absolutely not. Clinton didn't actively tell any of her contingencies to utilize weapons. Catering to the 2nd amendment crowd =guns...

Hilary may have been hoping she had a reason to stay in the race (although hoping someone dies ain't ok) but Trump was pretty much telling people to go kill his opponent... definitely not ok.

Eh.... there is a lot fishy about this "is Clinton healthy enough to serve" thing swingin around. People seem to be looking for faults that aren't really proven yet. Is she a liar and corrupt? Probably. Is she healthy enough to serve? I'd go with yes too.

In general I'm kind of tired of seeing presidents on the wrong side of 45 when they take office.

The difference between the two statements is that Hillary's statement could not be interpreted in any way other than that she was either hoping for, or advocating for Obama's assassination.

Trump's statement had many possible interpretations, most of which had NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with assassination. I honestly think his statement was that 2nd amendment nuts can protect themselves from government confiscation of guns by violence if necessary. Furthermore, Trump's remark was an off-the-cuff remark, more of a joke that came out unclearly enough to be misinterpreted. It wasn't a prepared statement like Clinton's.

Clinton's statement was made in to context of why she was staying in the race. Essentially she is saying "it ain't over till its over" in not the most graceful manner. In no way she is calling for the assassination of Obama.

Trump made the remark based on what he usually does... the cowardice fear of his followers. Scare them with the reality they will probably lose at this rate... so play to what the 2nd amendment advocates.. guns= violence. If we can't beat em, kill em!

You cannot be THAT obtuse. Bigoted at times sure, obtuse no.
