Best win of the season. This is why, if you're a real fan, you don't give up on the team. I had no thoughts that this team could in this game, but Stevenson did. I stuck with them, have stuck with them for 30+ years and am not jumping off now just because we have two key players hurt.
Give EJ credit for shaking the lineup up in the 2nd half and putting D-Mac in for defense. AJ still looks horrible, but DeShawn Arutlerenas saved him.

It's all about not settling for jumpers, especially with Chandler out. Stevenson, not matter how ugly it was, took it to the basket when they played him for the 3. Hopefully the rest of the guys, especially the young ones like Dmac, Young, Blatche and Opec will take notice. Play soft and shoot jumpers and lose. Go hard all the time and win.

When EJ coaches his ass off, we notice and make it known (look at this thread, WAY the Stevenson shot). He was fantastic tonight. I even made an appearance in the EJ thread.

The trade has temporarily stirred the Hornets' chemistry. BJax was an inspirational leader for them. They lost their last game to SA. They usually win with great cohesiveness, good rebounding, and floor generalship by Paul. Paul thinking and hesititating a bit gives AD some hope (not much).
If Bonzi is in he's probably going to defer on offense. Maybe others will force it to him. Could be less good defensive plays from them and more turnovers or forced shots while guys get to know each other on the court.
So, the Wizards have the chance tonight to catch the Hornets at the right time mentally.
Washington will also be peaking with all the bigs on their games. David West could be running into Andray and Brendan not falling for his bully game. Jamison at SF is Peja's worst nightmare defensively. Darius has clearly turned the corner. And then there's Keep It Gangsta, Son. ..
I think the Hornets win a close, hard-fought game.
It wouldn't surprise me if the Wizards shocked everybody and beat New Orleans. The bigs will hold their own, but DeShawn, Nick, Mason will need to step up for the Wizards to win. Keep Paul occupied and the Wizards will win.
I would like to see Mason shooting the ball and making Paul have to concentrate on defense. I don't think AD's a good matchup at all vs Paul.
The coaching move that won this game IMO was Eddie putting Dominic and Paul late in the game.
DeShawn stepped up and the Wizards won.
Even the refs couldn't cheat enough for the Hornets tonight.
