Let's take names on which defense man deflects the puck into the net this time for us. My money is on Pothier. He's been playing great for Pittsburgh all game.

Mother of Christ, just end this. End it in the first 5 minutes so we won't get our hopes up.

God, Wednesday Night is going to be so crazy....I take Metro and change lines at Gallery Place. It's going to be a madhouse.

Well deserved win, and the Bruins/Canes game is probably going 7 as well so its good.

Look at Craig Laughlin...dude is grinning from ear to ear.

Sweet, the Caps will deliver a national title to DC before the Wiz or the Nats will

Man I still can't believe it. Scuderi hit the post three minutes before Steckel deflected it in. In typical Capital fashion, Erskine would have hit the post to have Crosby get a bitch goal on the other end.

Please let this be a monkey fallen of our back. PLEASE!!!!!

Wow, the pens had EIGHTEEN more shots on goal. Sheeze! Is Varlamov god or what?

I don't even want to imagine what would have happened to us had Theodore been in net. Varlamov is a gift of hockey gods to this team.

Wish I could tell which lines (or players) were on the ice when those shots were placed. We can tell who was on the ice when a goal was made (the +/-), but not when the shots were made. Also most of those shots came in the 1st period. Penguins seemed like they were shooting on goal every 30 seconds in that 1st period.

I hope the refs will not be a factor (win or loose) in game 7. I'd like to watch these two teams go at it.

You have to think that us being on our own home-ice will help the officiating a bit. I'm sure it will still favor the Pens but if you're an ref, it's much easier to make a call against the Caps when you're in Pittsburgh.

Yeah, I'm no hockey expert, but it sure looked like hte Pengs out-played the Caps in each of the last 4 games - except for goal-tending - and the first 2 were probably about even. If the Caps get back to the level they were in the 1st 2 games - which was amazing, imo - they beat anyone. Gotta admit - Crosby is the best offensive player in the world, but now O can show he's the best player in the world. Gotsta think the crowd is going to be the loudest ever for a Caps game. It'll be a game people talk about for many years.

Crosby has been parking in the crease and getting garbage goals all series. He's playing one of the softest defense in the league, one that has no idea on how to clear the goalies crease and clear out rebounds.

If you put Ovechkin and Crosby on even playing fields, I like Ovechkins chances a lot more.

I'll defer to your hockey knowledge, but I like the fact that Crosby can park himself in the crease. That seems like a great skill to have - and I'd like a defenseman to discourage him from doing it. :) But his speed and skill with the puck on his stick amazes me. But yeah, O is so physical along with his great speed and scoring ability - I think/hope he'll show he's the better all-around player in Game 7.
