Not by a long shot. You are just missing your 3 best players. You may have won this battle but the war is far from over.

No-need to worry about the tank, we will remain among the 3-worst teams along with the Cats. With Bargs out for a while, the Raps could be there as-well.

Another important game for the tank today. If we can pull out a loss against Charlotte, we will retake sole possession of the worst record in the league, as NO and CHA will then have 4 wins each.

Out-tanked, the Cats are now officially the worst team in the NBA.

They'll get over the hump once their starters come back. I just hope they come back soon.

Yeah, they are also pretty bad. And they are also a threat in free agency since they are currently on track to have max cap room (could change if they deal Nash) and they are actually a place FAs want to go. They also have a number of decent players on small-ish contracts, and could also make a consolidation deal. I'm very interested to see what they do over the next few months.

I think at the end of it, we'll finish behind NO at #2. They're doing a masterful tanking job by holding out Gordon and Kaman, and they're roster is garbage without them. They literally have NO shot-creators. Hopefully they bring them back soon (Gordon and Kaman).

The Suns have no chance. They have two players, Nash and Gortat, that are better than anyone on our roster.

But if they trade Nash...

Nah, you're right. LOL

Wizards   4 17
Hornets   4 17
Pistons   4 18
Bobcats   3 18

Because of our roster-imbalance, I am still very confident in our tank long-term.

We have to find some way to hold down the fort over the next month or so while Blatche is out. I have no doubt we can hang with the worst of them when he suits up, but his absence means we're going to have the occasional game where we play with a bit too much effort and focus, and pick up a W where we should have gotten an L.

I personally don't see this team finishing worse than either the Bobcats or Pistons. New Orleans may even give us a run for the money depending on how healthy they get.

I just threw this up on the draft page but it applies to the tank watch as well. These are the win totals of the bottom 3 teams across the last nine years. I grant that this season is a unique season and the trends may not apply to it, but it's still potentially helpful in giving you an idea of the win totals and where teams tended to slot in in terms of the bottom 3 and winning percentage, our page right now is in line with a 19-63 finish in a full 82 game season (not accounting for the oddness of season design this year with the crazy back to backers etc).

So essentially our current pace would suggest a 1st (3 finishes), 2nd (3 finishes) or 3rd (3 finishes) finish in every single one of the past nine drafts. If we end up going 15-51 then that's basically what we're probably looking at, although things will be less predictable in this rather odd seasons, but interestingly, we are seemingly neck and neck with two other teams (Charlotte and Detroit (to some extent one could add New Orleans)), so the pattern seems to be holding and we seem at least if we continue with this pace, to be a lock for a bottom 3 finish (and a top 6 pick, probably a top 5 pick in my view, lining us up for a big 5 currently made up of Davis, Drummond, MKG, Barnes, Robinson and Sully (i suspect Barnes will fall out of this grouping).

Current Tankings
Sacramento 7 15
Pistons 5 20
Wizards 4 19
Hornets 4 19
Bobcats 3 20

Currently the Knicks are a threat to join the tank, they are right outside of this group. It would be a travesty if the Knicks won the lotto.

I disagree. The Cats have been playing without 3 starters. the Pistons have been playing without Ben Gordon.

Ben Gordon is over-rated. He's not going to help them
win a bunch more games. He'll have a great game every
so often.
