The one I had to rid myself of was "irregardless". Can't really have a lack of a lack of regard.

The one I hate is misunderstand. Why not just say derstand?

This thread jumped the shark on page two...

Tanks for the laughs!
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

How in the heck was a box of candy a WWII war time fighting food?

Chocolate to a French woman might have got them some personal services that led to a happy ending. But did they really successfully market a box of chocolates as a fighting food? Contraband, okay. But a fighting food???

I can think of another word that starts with "f" and it's the opposite of fighting.

You were probably alive when they printed that. Did you scan it from out of one of your old magazines?

Whoever it was that blew the turret off of Michael Wittman's tank, killing him, probably had a candy bar in one hand as he squeezed the trigger with the other hand.

Who knew our coach comes from a long line of Tank Commanders?

Michael Wittman, alias "The Black Baron"

Nobody better tell Ted that Randy's "uncle" attacked Greece. Don't tell Ernie "Uncle Mikey" was a Nazi.

Randy's "uncle" does look sorta like a light-skinned brother. He and Tony Parker could pass for brothers. That is probably why he picked Black Baron. :)

Good find, monte! :D

I never would have guessed Jan is a virgin from the way that smoking hot GF of his kissed him on draft night.

If his free throw shooting is like his lovemaking virginity is the only explanation.
